For "the biggest international music and light festival in the Southern Hemisphere",
Vivid Sydney was pretty unimpressive. Hardly the engaging and inspirational display it's been touted as.
The
Hammerhaus sound and light show was no exception of the unexceptional offerings. Sure looks impressive
here, but try sitting through 20 minutes of artsy illumination and techno music unintoxicated. Only some pothead or stoner would've found it engaging and stimulating (but probably would've puked afterwards nonetheless).
The
Löwenbräu Schweinhaxn that followed was apparently not up to standard either. And why eat that shizzle anyway, when you can get
Chinese roast pork at a fraction of the cost?
Truly, Mediocre Sydney.
Not enhanced in the least by the buggerin' cold.
