here. There are times when I find myself to be this extremely lazy person. I can speculate for ages about the reasons of it, some of them being fairer than others. The fact remains that I, as many of you, sometimes find it impossible to crawl out of bed and set my life in motion, much less actually be mindful about it - plan and prioritise the things I need to do.
Being a student and full-time employed at the same time requires quiet rigorous time-management by itself, not to mention times when I decide to squeeze in another activity, like this blog, for example. And it also does not come as a surprise that this reasonable amount of workload can be rather exhausting. Especially when the deadlines for essays and assignments become more pressing, you can see how the hours of sleep start reducing almost in a geometric progression.
Obviously, this example fits me as a busy postgrad student, but I feel like a lot of people would also relate to this from their own experiences of juggling work and family, other studies and activities or simply massive workloads. For this reason, and because I got positively tired of texting these things to my friends and not being able to find them afterwards, I want to have a motivational section here that will encompass everything that helps me stay mindful about my days, focused, motivated, creative and happy. Some of the articles I hope to write myself, others will be taken from trustworthy sources. The section will be tagged #motivation and I do hope you will enjoy it.
To begin, I will probably present a lovely article called
The Art of Now: Six Steps to Living in the Moment by Jay Dixit, which actually introduced me to the idea of mindfulness back in the day. To me it seems like a foundation of everything mentioned above, so this should be a great opportunity for those, who don't really know where to start. Surprisingly, we often find our time slipping through our fingers like sand in an hourglass, but without an opportunity to turn it around. Following these steps can allow one to actually get a grip on their time and on their life in general.
And finally for those concerned no, I am not into coaching all of the sudden, and I do not want to make another attempt on a topic that is by all means a cliché, but I do personally find the reminders that are to be posted in this new section useful, and if I do have a passion of blogging about something, this might as well be it.
