a sock is born

Nothing that exciting in terms of pictures today. Just one of the GWTF sock cuff. (And while GWTF stands for Go With The Flow, feel free to read that as "Goodness, WTF?!?") It's on my wrist because that seemed easier to photo than my ankle. I took the photo way too early this morning, and it took me a try or two before I realized that, being right handed, I should put the sock on my left hand. Trying to take pictures with your non-dominant hand is not fun.

So click the cut to see the picture. I promise it's not thrilling, but you will see the lacy cuff pattern and the first leg pattern repeat. I'll probably work mostly on R.I.B. this weekend, but I'll have to do a few more leg repeats on GWTF, so I can see the pattern really emerge. Right now, it doesn't look all that inspiring. I did transfer it to 4 needles (12-18-12-18) instead of the suggested 3 (18-18-24), 'cause rectangles are much better than triangles, when it comes to knitting.

(Yes, I realize that I need to work on that shaky hand. But in this instance, we get to play the guessing game! Was the sock-hand shaky, the camera hand shaky, or both?)
