LOL....now that I am not fucked up I can see the embarrassment in that post. TEEHEHE. I did,however, have a WONDERFUL time last night. Also, tomorrow night will be great too but I have to behave tonight because I start classes again tomorrow and the whole "Never do ___ 3 days in a row" rule. yeah huh.... :-D my teeth and head hurt. I'm going to lay down.

try cutting down on your words a bit.

do you go back to what you write and edit or do you just write it straight out and leave it?

I write it straight, but thats only because i have a partial melody in my head and im kind of soundtracking it in a way with my words. I cant really shorten these until i put them to actual audible material. Thats when i do my fine tuning and whatnot. I know what you are saying though tessa. You are trying to sing these lines because they rhyme, but they are too long, or too short, or off step. I know this. Thats because the song in my head is as well. Its abstract. Not until the two connect and merge do i make a final product.

not really singing it. i'm more reading it as prose... i'm more a poet than a songwriter.

yeah, thats where we are different. I just write lyrics to songs. Sometimes they are shorter or longer than the length of the verse or chorus they are patterned to.
