weekend, full

What a wonderful weekend. Full of loved ones and busy activity.
As of late, I've been able to enjoy a lot of time by myself or with others, other than my little family unit. I've really enjoyed this new fresh freedom. My parents visited this weekend and I was able to spend a lot of time with my mom. We did a sewing project together in which she really depended on my ability to see the step by step process in my mind... and it turned out beautifully. I was proud of her. She wanted to hand it over to me, but I said "Mom, I know you can do this. You taught me to sew..." And she did and I could see that proud glimmer in her eye. I love when I see that in her. I feel that it's not there as often as it could be.
We had a nice time together and while she was sewing, I got my studio organized and settled in.

August 7th, I will be showing new works at the Morning Glory coffee house.

I hope you can all come. I'm thinking that it will be a new leaf and I want to share it with you.
For now... enjoy your day and I will see you in the world, with wide eyes.
