You've got this strange effect on me
The Grammys were totally worthless this year. I think I say that every year, but this year in particular. Its like the "Who sold the most records" contest. Seriously, in some of the categories I felt like slapping the industry upside the head.
Every year the same 4 groups are nominated for the best dance stuff. Its like they just pick the ones that are at the top of the charts no matter how good their stuff is. The same thing happens for all of the big name selections too. The only one I agreed with was John Legend winning.
Anyways, this is my first week back from the MonthOfTravel™, and its really nice to be able to go home and do what I want, instead of having to be on a set schedule and shuttled around here and there. Plus, I get to be back on a regular schedule with exercise.
It will be so nice to hang out this weekend, especially since Conor is coming down for 5 days!!! It will be a nice time, I am sure. I bought him a remote control for his iPod that can be used anywhere so you don't wreck your car while trying to find a song.
I got the newest issue of my bead magazine yesterday. There are a lot of really good projects in there, if only I had time and more money to spend on some really nice beads. Maybe sometime in the future I guess.
Last weekend I went home to get my bridesmaid dress and check out the Super Bowl festivities. The winter fest was a lot of fun, the weather was ok, and the NFL stuff was really neat. There were so many people that they had a huge line just to get into the casinos! There were a lot of people there, with good things to say about the city, so I was happy about that.
