I’m still not really sure how I feel about this episode’s ending.
On the one hand, it was a great “OMG!” moment. But, on the other hand, it is so obvious that the writers are just pulling stuff out of their asses.
Also … geez, a love triangle to mar my beloved feminist Kalinda/Alicia friendship? Woe. Woe is me. This was such a good BFF episode, too. I don’t think I can watch this show if Alicia ends up hating Kalinda. :(
Let’s focus on the good, however. Mainly, everything to do with Cary.
The writers have pulled the same bait and switch schtick two episodes running and somehow they’ve made me fall for it both times! Last episode, I really believed Julius might have switched to Bond’s team, and this episode, I really believed Cary might have forsaken Kalinda in order to shore up his job. But no, he loooooves her. (Sittin’ in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g …)
Also, best scene: Cary’s phonecall to Alicia. The long, pregnant pause followed by “how are you really?” Oh, man: OTP. This season has been hard on me, because Cary’s hatred of Alicia grew to be so one-dimensional. I’m glad the writers have remembered that, once upon a time, they used to care about each other.
(Can Grace go DIAF, please?)
