I already watch House. Isn't this a bit redundant?

Here are my thoughts on Sherlock, having not seen any of it.*

Do I really want to watch a drama about two middle-aged men with a *wink nudge* overly-close relationship, who will never, ever, ever be shown on screen kissing or displaying romantic affection for one another? No. No, I don't. Been there, done that. So freakin' tired of this game ( Read more... )

Too bad. It's a terribly fun, well done show.

"I don't watch Leverage, but here's what would make it better..."

Christian Kane fixing that godawful hair would be a start. Apparently it's based on some real guy, I don't care. It's terrible. The show's not great either but I watch it for background noise, and the hope that Parker and Hardison will finally hook up. Meh!

...........That would ACTUALLY have been my post, Tara! The long hair, it buuuurns. It's legitimately the reason Leverage continues to languish at the bottom of my to-watch list.

See, there's only been one episode so far, and there's only two more on-deck, so it's not gonna be like House at all (I decided!). TPTB at House have been manipulative, homophobic jerkfaces for years, seriously (...I wish I could quit you, manipulative, homophobic jerkface show).

Also, I'm not reading the "overly-close relationship" in Sherlock as being in *wink nudge* territory. That's the traditional/assumed characterization(/totally the characterization from the 2009 movie), not necessarily the characterization of this iteration. Or something. I'm not reading it that way! And I'm always right! Etc.

Nonetheless! You and lasheremaleth have made me reconsider my decision to try Leverage, lol. (I didn't know about the long hair; whyyyyyy.)

Except....one of the men is Martin Freeman and he is awesome. Plus, written by the Moffat who currently is riding high on a wave of win.
