Here are my thoughts on Sherlock, having not seen any of it.*
Do I really want to watch a drama about two middle-aged men with a *wink nudge* overly-close relationship, who will never, ever, ever be shown on screen kissing or displaying romantic affection for one another? No. No, I don't. Been there, done that. So freakin' tired of this game

Christian Kane fixing that godawful hair would be a start. Apparently it's based on some real guy, I don't care. It's terrible. The show's not great either but I watch it for background noise, and the hope that Parker and Hardison will finally hook up. Meh!

Also, I'm not reading the "overly-close relationship" in Sherlock as being in *wink nudge* territory. That's the traditional/assumed characterization(/totally the characterization from the 2009 movie), not necessarily the characterization of this iteration. Or something. I'm not reading it that way! And I'm always right! Etc.
Nonetheless! You and lasheremaleth have made me reconsider my decision to try Leverage, lol. (I didn't know about the long hair; whyyyyyy.)
