I'm not used to being so infatuated with a song that I hear so much on the radio (or -- more accurately, since I do not listen to the radio -- a song that I hear so much on the radio that plays in the cafe where I buy my lunch sometimes ;).
But. God. This song hits my musical kinks so hard. I think it's beautiful. /o\ I think the lyric, "this town is colder now / I think it's sick of us" is poignant.
OneRepublic - Stop and Stare (to download: "music" + "divided")
(Fact: Truly being a music fan means owning up to the fact that you like mainstream songs sometimes, as well as those that are obscure and "indie".)
I am not quite so enamoured with the rest of OneRepublic's album, which is fairly mediocre. I still enjoy it, though. The equation for it goes like this:
OneRepublic's Dreaming Out Loud = (The Calling's Camino Palmero x Lifehouse's No Name Face) ÷ Matchbox Twenty's More Than You Think You Are
I really like soft rock, okay?
