This has gotta be the greatest meta ever written. Bwah!
I'm gonna go shopping for some grown-up clothes today, in preparation for finding a grown-up job that pays peanuts and makes me wanna die. It's funny, I always used to have a pretty smart-casual style, with lots of slacks and v-necked tops. But over the last few years, I've slipped into jeans-and-a-hoodie-every-damn-day mode. I'm more of a teenager now than I was when I was 15. Hmmm.
Anyway, I'm also gonna get The Libertines Bound Together from the library while I'm in town. Ahhh. I'm such a sadcase. :D
My Ted-Leo-on-a-boat gig tonight got cancelled. Woe! :(
I finally received my copy of the new Straylight Run album. \o/ Even though I thought that Prepare To Be Wrong was a bit hit and miss, I've always been impressed that Straylight seem unwilling to just be an emo-pop band and fit themselves too strictly into that genre. (I mean, I love emo, but it can be limiting.) Upon first listen, The Needles The Space seems a little cracky in places (um, hello, crazy production, J.No), but it's interesting and I like that. Also: holy shit! there are a lot of Michelle songs! Yayyy. It's also been a pet peeve of mine when Straylight fans say some variation of, Michelle should just sing backup for John; she shouldn't have her own songs. :/ *eyeroll* Dude, chick music is awesome. If you don't think so, listen to a different band!
