Oh hi LJ, I know I know, I've been away for quite some time but I am here to tell you that I did in fact miss you and have thought about you with a great deal of longing. Many things have happened, but my life isn't nearly as crazy and ever changing drama filled as it used to be, so I haven't had as many thoughts to share.
One thing I have been thinking about doing lately, especially with the new Facebook Timeline ever approaching, is going back and exporting all the old journal entries so I have a record of them privately, and deleting all the old ones that really shouldn't be on the internet. Think self-censorship, only retroactivly applied. I do realize that nothing is ever really gone and deleting old stuff means someone somewhere could find it if and when they felt the need to look, but at least it won't be as easy one click to get there.
Part of this is that I'm a more professional person now and need to think about how an old irrational emotional rant could affect me in that perspective. Another part of me realizes I was a bratty little bitch and I don't need everyone to know about my temper tantrums. and some things I believe are better to forget and to continue to be forgotten.
Work has been insanely crazy, I'm transferring to a new office so that's been stressful and I'm getting pressure on a lot of sides from people and I'm not really sure what to do with everything. Some days are easier to handle than others. Staffing is an issue right now - not enough staff, too much staff, is the work going to the right level etc etc. I'm stuck in the middle and sometimes it feels I'll always be there.
Blogging - So I started a separate google blog last fall so I could follow Tammy's and I wanted it to be all about books - and in a perfect world it would be, but because I've been trying to study and pass the CPA exam (unsuccessfully I might add) I really haven't blogged as much as I should/could/would want.]
The exam is going to be the death of me, I swear. I've taken BEC three times and failed all 3 times. 74, 66, 71. I need a 75 to pass. Increasingly frustrating.
REG I've taken twice so far, 44 and 64, and I'm set to take it again on Feb 4th but I won't get that score back until either the end of Feb or in March. I'll do the best I can but I can only hope this time I pass. I'm starting to get very discouraged and don't even want to take it anymore. While I was in college I didn't want to take it and now with my job, I've been forced down a road that wants me to have it. I know it'll be great to have, but it's just so very very hard.
To be continued.
