Note to self: when driving an hour in the dark to a place you have never been before, DO NOT TRY TO MEMORIZE DIRECTIONS. Additionally, if you think you are going the wrong way and turn around, chances are you were going in the right direction in the first place. Do not turn around and end up in the parking lot of Quest Diagnostics and Glaxosmithkline. (Although now I know where these establishments are that I called for a HazMat project last year.)
I bet you are all wondering where I was driving that I ended up getting so lost. Last night, I decided that I would rather drive into a tree than sit in my room and attempt to unpack for the fourth night in a row. So what is a frustrated, bored little Katie to do? Drive an hour to go to Thea's softball game and then get DQ with Mallery & Company. (Of course, I missed all but 15 minutes of the game because I'm navigationally retarded.)
So did I have fun last night? You betcha. Getting lost near Valley Forge sure beats cleaning the house. :o)
