Money Woes
Well, just when things were starting to even out money-wise, we get another kick in the teeth.
First, I find out that despite starting my job this past week, I won't actually get paid for it until a month later. Why, I have no idea, but they want to sit on my cash two weeks after I made my bi-weekly check. Add to that Zepher having his hours cut at this work due to the mid-winter slow-down, and you get the lovely little realization we have. ^^ No money.
Second, we got in the mail our premiums for the cars. Notice I said that in the plural, because even though we got the new car two months ago and paid the premium for it, it's somehow now on MY car's insurance schedule, so they're now both due at the same time...along with our renter's insurance, somehow. ^^ Yet another whammy - when I called to get a quote for the new car's insurance way back when (ie. two months ago), we were told that BOTH cars would be about $1300 annually, which we could deal with. Therefore, a semi-annual premium (logically) should come out to $650, right?
No. We get a bill of $900, and they upped our renter's insurance by $5 (it's only $5, but still...it's $5 they don't need).
Anyway, part of our solution is to sell some stuff that we don't need. So if anyone is interested in my FFVII and Xenogears doujins, let me know. I have quite a few lovely ones by Astro Boys, and a two-part series involving the Turks. I also think Zepher is selling his Necron stuff, but I may be mistaken. ^^;;
