Masquerade and carolling

Merry Christmas to everyone!!!

Whew. Been really busy the whole week. I somehow ended up getting drafted into both the central marketing services department's "special number" for the company Christmas party *and* one of the groups competing in the carolling competition during the party, so it was two whole weeks of going home late because of practice sessions. And on top of that I still had to make a papier mache mask because the theme for this year's Christmas party was "masquerade". They were holding a contest for the best mask that night, and I figured "Why not give it a try?". I ended up with a little gold (acrylic paint hee) half-mask number trimmed with lace and ribbon (gift wrapping ribbon) findings that I'd either glued or taped together, which quickly came apart after somebody managed to spill iced tea on it when I put it down on the table. ^^;; The mask itself is still good though (even if it didn't win), so I might display it in my room somewhere. And one of my officemates took photos, so maybe I'll put them up later on.

And my group won the carolling competition. Even if we were singing cheesy Tagalog carols.

Christmas eve dinner was a subdued affair, mostly because this will be our first Chritmas without my grandfather with us... But the annual trip to Baguio will be going on as planned. We're leaving on the 26th and returning on the 30th, and I almost didn't get my vacation leave approved on time too. *exhales deeply*
