Quilting
I haven't posted in my blog in ages - mostly because I'm in a 'not blogging phase' and I don't have internet at home. Hows that for thrilling! Oh well...means I've wasted less time and accomplished things like an advent calendar for Dave, tops for 2 of 4 place mats for his parents (to be quilted) and lots of knitting. I've just thought to add a few pics here as a record - and I want to show my new found quilting skills.
I'm doing Wonky Log Cabin - from this tutorial (http://www.quiltdad.com/2009/09/quilt-along-3-wonky-log-cabin-block.html) in reds/greens and music notes for Dave's parents.
the pics are on my flickr here ( http://www.flickr.com/photos/iriaml) because I can't get flickr pics to show in my lj at the moment! so annoying! they will have black binding to set off all the colours and the notes.
I'm also headed to San Fran with nerelim this week to celebrate our 25th birthdays last month! yay for a get away and San Fran - so awesome as far as I've ever heard. I have been told to hit up this amazing store (http://www.britexfabrics.com/) I'm sure we can squeeze in a trip between all the other amazing things we're sure to do.
