I started my new job at Tourism Vancouver last week and thus have an opportunity to complete the Vancouver Tourism Challenge. Over the weekend I have been completing the stops and acquiring stamps. One of them was to Van Duesen so centerlightpop and I met up there with our cameras and had a great couple of hours chatting, taking pics and generally enjoying the sunshine! I had a delightful afternoon and am so glad the short notice worked out for both of us!
These are a few of my pics - my first run at Lightroom which I like already and really at editing beyond a few simple adjustments, I usually don't do too much. I have to realize that editing is subjective, I'm new to both the software and the process and so these aren't perfect but I like the minor changes and the way it changes how you look at the features of each photo. I edited a few more, one particularly I have a love hate relationship with and might see if there is another vantage point to look at the picture from and edit to gain what I want to achieve. In the mean time, here are the snaps! (Didn't get the fancy black border - I put it on but it didn't export) but will work on that for next time.
There is something almost morbid about this photo and the next, the flower blossom reminds me of a heart and all the veins - but I love it. Something makes me almost unable to tear my eyes away!
When I was little we put oil on tissue paper to make stained glass, something about this tulip does exactly that!
