long over due photos

This photographic review will be the past two weeks including a weekend in Belfast!  The 5th time in 6 years that I've been there.

This is the night after Megan got here and we went out to have a pint to celebrate my acceptance into semester in dialogue and international pub night.

A fruit display that we found when we were out walking

A medicinal garden at a museum in Glasgow.

Glasgow cathedral from the Nacropolis where Megan and I went to wander around for an afternoon.

After this Megan and I went to Belfast on the bus and ferry to visit my Aunty Vi and Anne for the weekend.  While we were there we went to Newcastle with David and Therese and along the North Coast with Gordon and Lynne and through the city as well as Queen's University.

Aunty Vi and I, each time i've been to Belfast there is a photo of Vi and I on her front porch together!  Its a great tradition I think!

When we were driving with my cousins we saw this Ferrari which had for some reason to be trucked near Ballymena.  We can say that we 'passed a ferrari' as Gordon had to overtake because the guy was driving so slowly but it was cool to gawk at for the time we were behind it.

Megan and I with our Clapotis' on the North Coast.  It was quite chilly and there were some guys fishing in full on rain gear to protect them selves from the wind.  There was also a house selling fresh Dulce.

David making faces while we finished our icecreams in Newcastle.

A gazing ball that has been installed along the promonade in Newcastle.  I thought it was quite pretty as it reflected the colours of the sky and moors so nicely.

A photo I took of us in the gazing ball, however it won't rotate so you'll have to look at it sideways..

Queen's University Belfast, where I would love to study!  We wandered across the lawns as we waited for David to pick us up!

the Crown Bar in Belfast, the oldest bar.  We went for lunch but the cue was far too long to wait so we gave up and went somewhere else.

After returning to Glasgow, we went to Pollock Country Park to see the Glasgow City Fold of Highland Cows and the Clydesdales as well as Pollock House which is a museum of the house and shows the architecture, and stylings of the Georgian Period.

Map of the Park

Pollock House which we toured through and had beautiful gardens and the old stables where the Clydesdales are.

This is Baron one of the team of horses.  He doesn't have a mustache but duke had a mustache that looked like a handle bar.  Sadly one of the horses had to be put down recently because it had a bone infection that they couldn't cure and he was lame.

These are some highland cows, they're so cute!

Here are some more in another field, sorry I don't have a closer picture but they were quite far away.

There are more photos to come but my computer is being slow because of the internet here, so you'll have to wait and i'll do a couple of really good ones after I get back from my trips away for easter break.  And the most exciting thing last night, one of the girls on my floor had her birthday (not in my flat though) and so her boyfriend had a couple of his mates come and play the pipes for her so we got to watch and also listen for quite a while it was very cool!

And, we made canadian food for my roomies the other night, pancakes with maple syrup, raspberry sauce and bacon it was pretty good considering how strange their bacon is here!  And, my last paper of the semester is done and ready to be printed and handed in tomorrow before Megan and I head to London to go to Prague!

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
