i recently decided that i want to finish two projects for every one i start. (in this case, i'm counting a finished quilt top as a finished project.) So far i finished my two doppleganger quilts (i made one quilt and i liked it so much that i made two more almost exactly like it), started the fairytale land quilt. then i finished mike's pillow, realized that if i used both fabrics that i wanted to use on mike's pillow it would be way busy and insane, then started and finished a second pillow with the other fabric for his girlfriend rachel. now i'm working pretty steadily on my fingerless knitted gloves and my cousin sierra's quilt top. my count thus far is 4:2, hoping to finish at least one more before the end of today but i've sorta charged through all of the "almost done" projects so i might end up slowing down. i also started and finished a 1000 piece puzzle, but i'm not sure that really counts as a "project."
why do i have all this free time? i have a new job, i've signed papers and am ready to go, but i have to wait for my background check to come back before they can put me on the schedule. so i'm trying to live cheap until i start working again, but i do have a job so i'm just hanging out and not stressing about finding something. also my roommate got a job where he's going to be commuting to and from ohio for the next 2 months (flying out sundays and flying back on thursdays) so not only do i have copious amounts of free time, i've got an apartment to myself. :)
EDIT:: I also got a book called
Creepy Cute Crochet, and i think that instad of counting each little creature in the book as a separate project i'm going to work my way through all of the little monsters in the book and count that as my project. Once i get the hang of it i doubt these guys will take me more than a few hours each, and if i'm trying to finish two projects for every one that i start, it may be hard to keep up with one time intensive quilt and one quick little beastie.
