Yay!
Well, Otakon 2008 is over. And this had to have been the best Otakon ever for me. It was my first time wearing a cosplay I'd made myself (even if Pants did the hemming and button-putting-on). The Zorin at the spontaneous Hellsing photoshoot Saturday night told me that I was one of the best Integra's she'd ever seen. I'm still elated over that. And they were all so nice. =D I wish I knew who the one Alucard was, because he managed to sound exactly like Crispin Freeman. And that is epic (so was his battle with one of the Andersons at the 7:30 shoot on Friday).
I also met tons of nice people. If only I amembered everybody's names... But Fijicard, uplaw, and everybody else was incredible. And Azimel of the cute Rippy freckles! She gave me a hug! And the girl and her fiancee who cosplayed as Pip and Seras were too cute. Even if he was wrong about what the screams in the middle of the night at Hellsing manor are. XD I also met another wonderful Integra who joined me in being stuck with a British accent and heckling Arthur Hellsing with, "Daddy! Where are your whores?!"
The Ultimate Hellsing Ultimate Panel of Ultimateness was hilarious. IWFHellsing, in my opinion, looks just like Integra. And I now know who it was on LJ that wrote the whole "I like porn" parody of the Major's speech. XD I learned a lot of things I didn't know.
Saturday was insane. I woke up early for the Angel Sanctuary photoshoot, and I threw together a closet-lolita-Alexiel since I didn't finish my costume. There's no good pictures of my armband yet, but it was kickass. Pants drew the fallen angel tattoo on it for me, and I painted in a thin coat of gold paint. =3 'twas kickass. Sadly, I left early for the premiere of Hellsing OVA 4, which was hella awesome. Laura Bailey did Schrodinger's voice so well! And Rip van Winkle was tooooo cute. I'm still not over Alucard's, "Guess what I caught?" line. Maybe that was in the subbed version, but hearing that line dubbed was hilarious. Oddly enough, though, they showed all four dubbed OVAs later, so it turns out I really didn't need to leave the Angel Sanctuary gathering that morning. =( And Sam had apparently never seen the OVAs before, so I'm glad he liked it so much. I mentioned Schro to him the next day and he said, "I've never liked a Nazi so much!" Sam is Jewish. Yea. Weird.
