It feels nice posting again, because I will remember the things I have done in the past few days.
- Joanna is such an amazing host! She is so sweet for inviting me to her house for lunch. Her cooking skills have been improving greatly, and she is also designing a website for a cafe- how exciting! I am so excited to see her more often at Berkeley :). Kat needs to become less busy so we can all explore and have sleepovers lol.
- Alex is leaving this weekend, but at least Gabby, Brian, and I had dinner with him on Thursday night. We planned on going to Habibi's (Lebanese restaurant near Washington's Safeway), but it was closed. We drove to Pacific Commons instead and debated on where to eat. Little Mad Fish looked popular, so we went to look inside and saw... Albert Liu! None of us have seen him in a while so that was a great surprise- we had to eat there. The four of us went back to Alex's house afterwards and played "Imagine If" and "Taboo". Mcrae won the first game, and the girls (Gabby and I) won the second game.
- I am getting a lot better at riding the buses in Berkeley, and I am also getting my money's worth from my Cal1Card. There are so many buses and shuttles, and it is much easier to rely on public transportation there than in Fremont. BART is sucking up a lot of my money, but it is still cheaper than subleasing. It is so sad that they are raising the prices again- I hope the union workers do NOT strike. Loads of people rely on BART (myself included), and it is better for the environment and reducing traffic congestion. Taking buses to Cal would be so ridiculous and time-consuming.
- Today was ridiculous, but I am too lazy to describe the frantic and upsetting parts. I will mention that I got to see Asha, Sonia, Sirena, and Neha :)! They also introduced me to their temporary subleaser who seemed very friendly, too. The tutors at the Student Learning Center (SLC) are really friendly and helpful!
