Isabella went out of town last week on a job and took Penn with her. She didn't feel safe leaving us all here alone, so she asked Aidan to help India and Yuffie with us if anything bad came up. It's um, I really like having him in the same building with us. Oh not that he's staying with Ingrid and I or anything, he's staying at Penn's, but it's nice being able to see him after dark without having to worry about going outside.
Last friday I worked up enough courage to knock on his door and see if he wanted to have dinner with me. He said yes, and we spent the evening together having pizza and talking. And um, there was kissing. Lots more kissing than I'm used to, but I wasn't uncomfortable with it.
He wants to take me to Malibu for a weekend after Isabella and Penn come home. I'm a little nervous about it, no one's ever asked me to do that before. I've had dates, but usually after the first two there isn't a third one. Maybe because I'm not as outgoing as India is, or as talkative as Ingrid and Isabella are.
I asked Ingrid later what she thought about it, even though I'd already told Aidan yes. She asked me if I thought it was a good idea, if I was really ready to take this step with him. I'm not sure if that's the step he's wanting to take, but I think if it is, I can't think of anyone more suitable to take it with. He's very considerate of me and my feelings, I don't think he would do or expect anything from me that I wasn't ready to do.
Now I just have to get up my nerve to talk to Isabella when she comes home. But Ingrid was very supportive after I told her my feelings on it, so I'm hopeful that Isabella will be too. And she trusts Aidan, she wouldn't have asked him to stay here if she didn't. I just hope she doesn't give me the talk about you know, birth control and stuff. It was embarassing enough when Ingrid did it once I turned sixteen.
