See, by crossing it out, I didn't mean it. It's a way to issue fake insults and take them away at the same time. Among my friends, we find this somewhat humorous.
Example: "Why didn't that girl want to talk to me?" asked my friend. "She must not know what a great guy you are. That, and you're butt-ugly. Naw, just kiddin'. I don't know what her problem was," I replied.
On LJ, I could have written: "She must not know what a great guy you are. That, and you're butt-ugly.
Actually that's "your face". Your mom never really phased out, it's just low key since a lot of us outgrew that phase. Well we like to say that anyway.
