wondering what I’ve been up to since I moved?
Since I don't have much time to talk to everyone back in Michigan these days, I figured I'd blog to let you all know what's been going on. I'll probably put more or less the same entry on my myspace.
I've been traveling around with Offworld Designs, most recently to Atlanta, but now that job is done for the summer. The Atlanta show we go to, DragonCon, is my favorite one. It's got a younger crowd and tons of concerts and fun stuff to do. Not to mention the hot boys. Hot southern boys that say "ya'll." They're adorable. And DragonCon has the best costumes, like an H.R. Pufnstuf and Dr. Gonzo and Hunter S. Thompson as seen in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. DragonCon is like a 3 day costume party that encompasses 3 entire hotels and the surrounding streets.
Yesterday I had an interview at Architectual Revolution. It's one of The Alley stores and has some really cool clothes, incense, soaps, jewelry, and eastern religious statues. I wasn't sure the interview really went that well, but I got a call back last night and I GOT THE JOB! I start monday at 11:30.
I decided to take a semester off before starting college. No one seems to think I'm actually going back, but my grandmother left me 50 grand for college and if I don't use it in 10 years, half of it goes to my uncle Blane and half goes to my dad. I would rather get a philosophy degree and work retail the rest of my life than see either one of them get a penny of my money. So trust me, I will go to college. I just neeed some 'me' time first.
Tomorrow I'm supposed to be going to Lover's Lane with my sister and my cousin Mary Kate to pick out penis lollipops or something for my cousin Marilyn's bachelorette party. This should be interesting. I guess we're supposed to dress up like skanks and go dancing for the bachelorette party....
So that's aboout all that's going on. I miss everyone in Michigan very much and hopefully I'll come visit soon.
