yet I question the wisdom of UF's decision to offer two required anthropology core classes on the same days, at the same time. I guess there's not much sympathy in the system for the few of us that didn't follow the design that UF set for us when we were first admitted.
I also question the wisdom of my decision to take Honors Forensic Science, for several reasons. (1) I don't even know if I'm still considered an honors student, since I didn't finish the program before I dropped out (oops...). (2) It's at 9:35 in the morning. It's sad that I'm considering dropping a seat in a class it's taken weeks to get and that I'm dying to take because I don't want to wake up that early.
In other news:
I got my first formal complaint from a customer last night.
SC: "How much is a large pizza with pepperoni?"
Me: "$6.35"
SC: "I don't really want to spend that much."
Me: (puzzled silence, pretending to care)
SC: "How much is a medium?"
Me: "$9.05"
SC: "Why is it more?"
Me: blah blah about carry-out special
SC: "So it's almost cheaper for me to order from home and have them deliver it?"
Me: "Yeah, if by 'almost cheaper' you mean three dollars *more*."
SC: "I don't appreciate your tone, young lady. I'd like to speak to your manager."
After comforting stupid customer, my manager went back to the kitchen and asked me what I said to piss him off. After I told the story, his response was, "stupid dumbass. let's hope he never comes back." My manager is cool.
I'm looking for a new job, so if anyone knows of something cool, let me know. Preferably a job where I don't have to deal with customers. ever.
