We bought a new camera for our trip to Europe, and the package finally arrived today!
I've always been very happy with the Canon Digital Elph line, and this latest purchase is no exception. We decided on the Canon PowerShot SD500, and it's nothing short of fabulous. Still very similar to its brother Elphs, but just a bit slimmer, sleeker, and one other very important improvement... there is almost no delay between clicking the button and actually taking the picture. This 1-2 second delay that just about every digital camera on the market suffers from has been the bane of my photo-journalistic efforts for as long as I can remember. I'm really looking forward to finally capturing the moment, instead of my enviable talent of capturing the moment *after* the moment.
