Wow, I haven't used LiveJournal in quite some time. My last entry was back in June '07, when all the stress of the end of the quarter led me to write my thoughts down to help organize them. Now that I think about it, this has always been a good strategy for me, although I usually do this by scribbling my todo list on notebook paper.
It is for this same reason that I return to LiveJournal now.
I've been learning a lot at work lately. I transfered to the IT department at the casino in October and spent the first couple of months diving into and fixing our POS software (Point of Sale, although that other meaning would be appropriate too). Its to the point now that I can actually think about other projects, and there are a lot of them. My official title is "Computer Programmer," but I am one of a small team that fixes, develops, and maintains all the software products the casino uses. As I branch out from the one product that needs the most help to the several that need maintenance, development, or research for purchase, it will probably be helpful to organize my thoughts here.
This marks a change from thinking about LJ as a social blog to a more personal use. I certainly hope no one hopes to find anything interesting here.
