i can't believe you're even considering this...acrosthecApril 23 2003, 10:23:02 UTC
have you forgotten the hours of making fun of people that we knew would drop out of college and be stuck in savannah for the rest of their lives at shitty jobs, and how much better we felt knowing that they might have hated us then, but eventually we would completely control them because we were so much smarter? don't give up all that now! think sensibly...of course school sucks. but there's not that much of it left honestly. i mean, you've been through most of it already. might as well finish. love, your sister. now fucking listen to me. you know i'm right.

not to be mistaken as a vicious retort, but i think its ignorant and close-minded to say anyone who doesnt finish college will fail at life and be stuck in savannah. she finished high school and thats what i think is more significant than finishing college. why cant she travel, or find an internship/job she may like? why cant she take a break and go back once she experiences an option other than school and truly knows whats important to her? im not saying quit school, but you would not inevitably become another tanner if you did something other than school. tanner isnt doing much of anything anymore except getting fucked up, and youre obviously smarter than that. you shouldnt force yourself to do something you dont enjoy anymore just because its what you "should" do. realistically, youre probably just ready for summer vacation, but dont restrict yourself.
i didnt say going to school is restrictive. i said thinking you have to stay in college because its what youre "supposed" to do is restrictive if you dont have the desire to.
love,
your sister. now fucking listen to me. you know i'm right.

good inductive reasoning... yes.
then again that kind of justifies racism/stereotyping.
and i hardly think going to college is conducive to "restricting" oneself
