Happy Birthday, Spedbug! (and other things)
My heartfelt best wishes go out to Spedbug, who's birthday is today, Thursday 24th of August.
I also send good wishes to blueangelique in Kentucky for her birthday yesterday (and as a birthday present would like to get the laptop back which you borrowed from me... exactly how long ago?)
In completely unrelated news we had a wonderful bookcrossing MeetUp in tuebingen tonight, where I met among other friends effdeekaa and cinda_rella, and the very active new BookCrosser called "ekorren", who proved to be an old friend which I hadn't seen in the last ten years, but who previously had spiced up my New Years Eve celebrations with spontaneous bursts of childrens songs in Swedish, and provided lenew and me with electric heating in that winter when the landlords "forgot" to buy new oil for the central heating of the house...
We also found out that cinda_rella and "teckster" had joined the international networking platform "openBC"
I'm always happy to meet and make friends old and new - and today especially happy that spedbug is one of them :)
