I've had a good weekend so far, roleplay friday night, with a bookcrosser joining us who we (Muecke and I) met at the last meetup in Stuttgart - and found out that she went to scool 5 inches from where I went, on the other side of the fence. Finishing more with my bro than with me (Girls School, like on the other A side of "Mull of Kintyre"). We play Dungeons & Dragons (AD&D 2nd Edition, if anyone wonders) on
myraworld at the Green Sea of
Karcanon. She stayed overnight and into the day today.
This night another old frind of mine came for a visit, only this one had been my friend for 22 years now, the longest continual friendship I've got. He is half Spanish, half Swabian from where
cathepsut is at home, which makes for an interesting mix. It was his 40th birthday, and his wife and daughter were away for some turkish celebration with his in-laws, so he came over to our house to celebrate his birthday with
ellifaey,
lenew and me.
We talked a lot about the new president of our University of Tübingen, Engler, but also, of course, of absent friends and
myraworld, because Myra is something we shared as friends over the ages. He still wouldn't forgive me my "readjustment" of the border between Garunia and the kingdom I held then, but will still support me in my battered kingdom of Etrorien, which I share with
gwenw and lately also
anysidora,
ellifaey,
lenew and, in a way of remote support,
fechtbuch. What better way to spend a Saturday evening than to invite a friend and save him from spending his 40th birthday alone, and mentally sing "once a time there was a tavern" even without the words or the tune, just by doing it?
Darn, it get's light and I should get some sleep. Greetings to Moira, Jennan,
eindings and
erdbeerfrosch plus
laima12345, who all are in bed right now as well...
