...and I wonder how easily people forget, now that there's talk of new nuclear power plants, so we can have Chernobyl (USSR) and Three Miles Island (USA) and Tsuruga (Japan) - all three cases of something wich was supposed to happen "only once in 24,000 years" according to the IAEA report back then - more often.

Silently I wonder... While I can remember... It happening just days after China Syndrome premiered, which I got to see, and just two days before a planned anti-nuclear (against a nuclear waste recycling and plutonium dump center on earthquake grounds) demonstration in the state capital... I was too young to attend back then, younger even than the last girl I kissed... err... I digress... I was just wondering how old you might have been back then. Because it seems ages ago, in the time of b/w pictures on real film rolls...

But silently. Ask not what you don't want to answer, so I'll not ask.

It was on March 28th, 1979 and I was just about to turn old enough to confront my parents with an opinion of my own. See en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Mile_Island
