So Glee has been losing me for maybe 3 or 4 weeks. At some point I just started feeling like the dialogue is really cheesy, the situations are cliche, none of the characters are likeable, and the songs (which were originally performances and therefore the choreography and harmony made sense) started busting nonsensically into episodes: seriously, 3 little boys were fascinated by Quinn and Puck making a "real life music video" out of "Papa Don't Preach"? I do not buy that at all.
Finn is the most likeable character to me and he's also the least developed and flattest character ever. The best moment for me recently was Will discovering the fake pregnancy and freaking out on Terri, and me thinking that there was a chance he was going to kill her and bake her body into a shepherd's pie and serve it to her sister.
I feel like I cringe through every episode - awkward dialogue, awkward acting, awkward situations. The thing tonight where Rachel says "I have to tell you something" and then they cut to commercial and then they cut back and Finn is beating up Puck? Cop out. Etc. Also, I started off LOVING Rachel but I cannot stand her anymore. And, I don't understand why she is still acting like this, everyone obviously HATES her, and she is STILL President of the glee club.
Anyway, I just thought this was a good excuse to post. I know lots of people loved tonight's episode. Facebook live feed is filled with status updates like "Can't wait until April!" and "OMG tonight's Glee!" but I would rather have been watching new episodes of The Office or Weeds.
