Following up from my disappointment over not being able to go to a presigious university, I must admit that some of my bitching was overrated. In fact, I have met a few intelligent beings. Unfortunately, all (save one) are professors. Yes, this is depressing, because even in the honors classes (which in themselves were last ditch efforts to find students who have some sort of brain power comparable to what I am used to), all I have seen thus far are a bunch of former 4.0+ GPA-ers who are completely book learned and have no idea how to analyze in subjects like political science. However, I am most pleased with my honors poly-sci professor, who is also the chair of the department. In our first class, he decided, in order to alleviate any possible stress we students might be feeling, to incorporate a reading of "Stuart Little" into the lesson. And indeed, it tied in nicely. Other poly-sci teacher is a former navyman/lawyer/journalist who says teaching his favorite thing to do. And, true to my first opinion of the man, appearings to be a typical 60s child who had some wild acid trips and has finally found something he loves to do, mainly monologue and satirize recent global political events. Very interesting person.
So yeah, some of my hating was not necessary, but again, should anyone be back in town for labor day, please feel free to ring me up because I won't be doing anything after my class Thursday.
So yeah. That's it.
Wait, one last thing. I've come to grips with it and I feel I must post it here first.
I cannot support Barack Hussein Obama, for a variety of reasons, most of which relate to his inexperience. And no, I'm not happy about the war, but it's not the biggest issue on my mind currently, so don't bring it up when you comment on that.
