Jeff told me to update so here I am.
Anyways, I got a new job at ShopKo, and I think one of the new guys has a little thing for me already. It's quite funny. He's really nice though, and I talked to him. But I am not interested in him. He had cool hair though.
Other than that I updated -
http://illregular.com - It's all sweet now.
RIGHT, now I want to rant.
There's one thing I hate about egotistical society dominated men,...they automatically assume that women are not smart / capable of doing anything remotely relevant to men. Which brings me to this story:
I was fixing my car outside when my neighbor, came over and took total control of what I was doing, like I had no idea how the fuck to do anything. First of all, I am just as capable, or more capable, to the same job as a man, maybe even better. The fact they can't live up to that, pisses me off. He explained to me what the gas does in a car, and what breaks do, and all about the ignition. I was super pissed off, but since I am a nice person, I kept back all the remarks I had to say for this man and kept it to myself, while giving my mom dirty looks, looks that make me look like I was going to kill the man.
I hate men like that. Which brings me to today's story:
I was in orientation with these 2 men, working for backlining, operating machinery and what not. While I am the girl in the room as a cashier. Now don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with men cashiers, and nothing wrong with women construction workers. I find that perfectly okay, but with egotistical society dominated men it's not. This man came into the room, and we had to introduce ourself and our department we were going to be working on. The boys introduced themselves and their department, and without letting me speak, this man goes "Oh and your a new cashier right?"... yes I was, but the fact that he assumed it, pissed me off. He had a right I guess, but what if I was working with the machinery? I would feel even more offened.
I just want to sum it up as, I know when I grow to be older, and wiser, and get my career started, that I will be in a high tech company working with technology, and the fact that men won't accept the fact that women may be better than them some point in time, pisses the fuck out of me.
Because I know, that with the next presidential election, that Hilary Clinton might be running, and yes WOMAN, will vote for her because she's a woman, but men will vote AGAINST her because the fact that she is a woman also...
