Shawn Ferber's full story
Hi all, as you may know, I've been devastated over Shawn's death this past week. But now I'm ready to discuss the event. For those of you who don't know, I will explain the full story of Shawn Ferber's death.. or at least as much as I know about.
Sometime before Dec. 19th, Shawn was at a party in St. Paul. While he was there, him and a man by the name of Timothy Morin got into a verbal arguement. They somehow concluded to meet at Huntington Park in Apple Valley Saturday night. Shawn went to the park that night, with several friends, who all had bats, broken bottles, and brass knuckles. Well the guy Shawn was there to fight brought a gun and two friends. One of the two friends is named Antonio Piel. As the fighting started, Timothy Morin pulled out his gun and fired one shot into the air to warn everyone that he had a gun, and that it was real. What happened next, no one knows except the people that were there that night. But all in all, after Timothy Morin shot a bullet into the air, he lowered his gun toward Shawn's chest, and pulled the trigger. The bullet almost literally exploded Shawn's aorta. Shawn immidiately fell to the ground as blood rushed from his chest. As Shawn's friends ran to pick him up, Shawn started coughing, and blood shortly after started coming from his mouth. Timothy Morin, his friend Antonio Piel, and the third unknown friend of Timothy's ran to their car as one of them shouted, "Let's get out of here!". Shawn's friends put Shawn into a car, and sped him to the Fairview Ridges Hospital as fast as they could. They called the police on the way there. The police met up with the car Shawn was in halfway there, and then they took Shawn the rest of the way. But by the time they all made it to the hospital, it was just too late. Shawn Ferber was pronounced dead.
Shawn's murderer is being charged with 2nd degree murder without intent to kill and third degree manslaughter. Antonio Piel is being charged with assisting Timothy. The third friend has yet to be caught, and is still walking the streets.
