Melancholy. Landscapes.

Dec 16, 2013 11:23

Unlike many photographers, I usually don‘t have a story in mind which I would like to visualise with my photographs. On the contrary, I expect the pictures to tell me a story, to reveal something new about me or about the world around me. One of the most persistent words in the story my pictures tell me is melancholy. I don‘t object; I let the story go on.

There are five landscapes in this collection, all coming from different locations -- Berlin, Prague, Kharkov, Toscana, Ireland. The input for the series was my warm attachment to the places and their beauty, the output was not unexpected. Melancholy.
