Siblings count, silly. And reading down the comments, it sucks that you're sticking around for college but at least it's a new time in your life no matter what. And hey, there's always the option to transfer later on.

i can't. uni is expensive, but the one nearby will pay my tuition. my dad wants me to stay, and i can't let him down. it's too late anyhow.

College is a lot different to high school. You'll find that you can detach a lot more.

my mother is moving two blocks away to live with my grandmother along with my emotionally disturbed uncle and small cousins.
i should not have stayed here for college.
my mother gets to see my brother on alternate weekends. this is the minimal amount of visitation given to a parent who has not just committed a crime.
