i guess bonnaroos out of the question. maybe lollapalooza? maybe slope day? ill do rock and wrap it up for nin at jones beach in june.
ive hated the idea of senioritis since i first heard of it. but i guess you could call what i have senioritis. if senioritis is not ever doing work, that is.
instead of doing work, i've been doing a bunch of things. i advise you to skip them if you dont like them:
1. lost - great network show. catching up on it all instead of following it linearly now. i find from nip/tuck experience that such a viewing pattern helps figure out mysteries and secrets....though lost is probably the most in depth show on television. its not beautifully literary and thematic like nip/tuck or sopranos, but its just so complex in that its a corny network drama with hints and secrets and a billion references and clues and complexities.
2. sopranos - i caught up on the entire show before this season begun. the first episode was amazing. the second episode was just setting us up for a terrible season. the most recent episode was ok. the tony coma dreams were probably both the best and worst parts of the episodes....so symbolic thematic etc. while just pissing me off because it wasnt the sopranos, wasnt the characters. (spoiler) the buscemi cameo on the most recent episode made me smile. (spoiler done) if it wasnt for the "on next weeks episode" thing i would have been much more pissed, because it seemd like tony was a vegetable at the end. thankfully, we know hes back to being a mob boss next episode. i think this seasons gonna be some good shit though, the show has taken an interesting path...tonys psychological issues are coming to a head with all of these dreams. hes bound to have some breakthrough with melfi soon. and i see big stuff for chris and aj. who knows whats gonna happen though, nothing leaks and theres little to no foreshadowing. only time will tell.
3. the godfather game - amazing. gta + more + the godfather. i love it. its the best it can be without al pacino. my sole issue is the absence of carlo and connie, but thats obviously because talia shire is coppolas sister and he denounced the game. if pacino only accepted, 2 would be sooo good. pipe dreams.
i need to go on a movie streak again - classic jack nicholson, four rooms, bottle rocket, and hotel rwanda, you're all next.
