I won't bore you all with the details, but you should know that just like you have a credit report, you have an insurance report that keeps track of all the claims you've ever filed. The underwriting industry does not care about the circumstances of those claims, only that they happened. (It even seems that they don't care whether any money was ever paid out -- only that you called and opened a claim.) I have filed two insurance claims in my life. The second was to repair damage caused by the contractor provided by the insurance company from doing the repairs from the first claim. It doesn't matter. Two claims: No insurance for you!
