Recently, in an effort to break my running performance plateau, I've enlisted the services of a trainer.  So far I've had two sessions, and both sessions have left me non-functional. Hate to say it, but you'll feel like this any time you work out new muscles. I'm sure now that you're lifting more, the muscle tears from lifting have decreased and so has your recovery time.

You should definately see an improvement within the next few months over that plateau once your conditioned enough to run with the new muscle. If you need someone to work out with (and can get me into your gym for free) I'll do some of the non-trainer leg days with you.

For my part, i'm HORRIBLE about keeping up with leg routines, and i could use a partner.
