Dreams Breed Confusion.

I dreamed of carrion and a girl I've never met last night.
She was as beautiful as you've said she is.
Soft, Tan Skin and Jet Black Hair.
The curls surrounded her face like snakes.
She said you weren't coming,
This Medusa of my dreams.
And there were dead things everywhere.
And I'm not quite sure what it means.
I hated her just as much as I do now.
Walking beside her, as she smiled.
She smiled as if she knew.
She could see my insecurity.
Her beauty was too much to overcome.
And there were dead things everywhere.
The stench was overwhelming.
As I cradled a lifeless animal in my arms.
Her hair transformed from scales to feathers.
Ravens overtook my flesh.
My dead body was everywhere.
And I wish I didn't know what it means.
