A dimming florescent light bulb costs $32. 6 of them with tax ran me just under $200.
They use 23W, as compared to their 75W predecessors. Also, they give off as much light as 100W incandescents.
But they ghost at low dimming.
And their color temperature is probably a little hotter (bluer) than I'd like. With non-dimming bulbs (which are also much cheaper) you can choose from different color temperatures. But for the flos, they only have one option.
And when they're at half dimming capacity, they give off enough infrared to interfere with the remote control to my television and lord knows what else.
But they give off less heat. And I'm helping the world a little kinda.
I spent a weekend in San Diego because I like the people, weather, bars, beaches, and sex down there better than Los Angeles.
