The weekend was good.
No hiking saturday morning due to rain, and folks having other plans, and folks staying up too late the night before; but mostly rain. But, that was all right. Spent the morning doing some work. Well, let's be fair, I spent most of the weekend tethered to my computer as there was a release going out yesterday and there was much work happening to it this weekend.
Also, I had a really nice chat with my mom saturday morning. Most of the rest of the day was spent around my computer to keep up with the release stuff for work; but saturday night we went out.
The SubG and I traveled to HALFLAB to help lunacow celebrate her birthday. Chef Louise and company prepared plenty of tasty foods and the house was well full of friends and family. I knew a couple of people there ok, and mal and paeyl were there. I think everyone had a great time. I know we did. Did I mention the food was great?
Sunday was productive, if not a lot of fun. I did taxes, work, other finance related stuff, work, etc. These are all good things to get completed, though. And, of course, I had no way of knowing on sunday that monday morning would show that we had to get another round of code into staging, and get it tested, and release it all in one day.
Weirdly, on sunday, I also got a flat tire. Nothing dramatic, but it was very sudden. Things were fine, I was driving, things were fine, I was going through an intersection and there is a loud noise and a guy in a car from the opposite side of the street yells "You've got a flat!". By the time I was through the intersection, the driver's side front tire was completely flat. I got pulled off into a parking lot and changed the tire and got home fine, though somewhat filthy. Yesterday I took the truck into America's Tire. I'd had a look before going and the other front tire looked sort of poorly, too. The back tires looked fine. The guy who helped me out said it looked like maybe I'd had an alignment problem that was wearing the front tires in bad ways. I replaced both the front tires. And, I'll get an alignment done later this week.
Honestly, though, I think the alignment is fine, now. I think it probably had been the culprit because it was pretty out of whack a while back and I'd had it done then. I think maybe the tire just finally gave out now. But, it's safest to go ahead and have it done, anyway.
