Letters in Space

Em,

I never know what to say in these damned letters. You'd think with us being so far apart and all I'd have things to tell you, but then I sit down to write and I can't think of anything. Life moves on and I am well and I guess that's all good.

Yesterday we all had quite a scare. The guys up in Operations picked up something big on their scans. Something big that was headed right at us. Everyone started running around talking about what we should do if we're hit by a comet or some other asteroid or something. It's a funny thing but I wasn't scared at all. I was more angry. I mean here I am up here working long hard days mining this damned asteroid so I can get my half of our money together so we can start our life and I am going to be smashed to pieces by another damned asteroid? Well you know how hot I get when I feel like things aren't fair. I guess that's a pretty funny reaction.

In the end it turned out to be an unscheduled transport. Even better it brought guys who setup the first cantina. Now we can actually get meals with service and everything. Sure there are also the women of questionable reputation (ha ha!) who come along with that. Plenty of the guys were excited about this, but there's only one girl for me.

Hell. I'm getting mushy. Guess I better sign off.
