‘Mum? Dad?’ asked James one day in August.
‘Yes dear?’ Ginny asked absentmindedly. She was trying to fold an enormous stack of laundry from the family’s recent holiday trip to Africa. In retrospect, she reflected, it probably had not been a good idea to take three Potter men on a safari. Far too much testosterone. And far too much laundry.
‘I made Head Boy,’ beamed James.
‘Oh, darling!’ exclaimed Ginny with tears in her eyes.
Harry’s own eyes shined, not with tears but with pride.
‘Good on you,’ he said, clapping his son on the back. ‘Just like your grandfather.’
