Goodbye Senior Year. Goodbye High School.

Graduation is but a little more than two hours away. I'm so excited, yet I'm so sad. The saddest thing for me, perhaps, is the realization that yearbook is dead next year for me, for all alumni. Friendships and whatnot will continue to go on and will always be here for me on my return, but there is no true yearbook. What remains is the things and the people who are yearbook. For the past few years, we have upheld the ideal that the book is about the student voice and the student vision and it pains me to have to read of all the injustice that are finally being voiced by ALL the staffers from this year. This amazing book we have created not only shows me of all the pain and suffering we have gone through but it represents something: it represents us, the image of the students of Homestead High School. In the past year alone, we have learned to question all aspects of life and create the ability to access not only greater knowledge, but also the feeling of helping others who are less fortunate. We've all made judgements in which they may or may not have been good and we've learned from those mistakes. In the end, we can all reflect back on the good and the bad times in high school; laugh about our mistakes, and keep on going in life. However, we walk away with something much more, we walk away with our piece of mind. We've been through so much just to develop that simple tiny concept, but really, we find our peace within it.

So you may think you have won, but you've lost all sense of self-respect. Those around you will hopefully see you as what you are, and even if they don't, we know we've done our due diligence in trying to explain what has happened in the past year. My senior was made incredible not by you, but by Meghan, Haddas, Amy, Frances, Margaret, Margarine, Lauren, Alyssa, Derrick, Derek, and Clara. And of course, there's EDIT BOARD: Ioana the sexy Romanian; Valerie, aka George; Annie the smile; and Nastasha the nasty. I love all of you guys so much and I want to thank you guys again for making this book as incredible as all the memories that we have created.

I hope I don't cry today at graduation, but I can't really say how I'll react.

I'll post up pictures after All Night Party of the past three days. I love everyone who was a part of my senior year! You'll always be in my heart! =] (Geoffrey, Jane, YEARBOOK, Carl, Clarence, my SISTER, Vivian, Kenny, Josh, Yuying, Eric, Margaret, Annie, Adela, Boyuan, Xavier, CoryO, Kirk, Charlotte, Emmeline, Ray Kim, Ray Chen, Chris, Mike, Albert, Jenn S, Jason, Lauren, Jeanette, Angela, Grace, Laura, Serena, Kyle, Min, DO, Kate, Steffi, Allie, Kelvin, Kento, Tammy, Lauren, Matt, Dale, Carol)
