Author : Tabi [

Pairing[s] : William/Gabe, William/Travis, Brendon/Ryan, Nate/Alex, Ryland/Victoria (Pete/Patrick, Frank/Gerard)
Rating : NC-17
Summary : Three years have passed since William threw his old life away to stay in Hawaii. Things haven’t exactly turned out how William expected them to, and now each day is a struggle as he tries not to crumble under the pressure of his own warped and tangled mind.
P.O.V. : 3rd; William-centric
Warnings : language, mild violence, mental disorders (nothing severe though -- just like depression and whatnot), attempted suicide, slash (guyxguy), more to come.
Disclaimer : well, WE ALL KNOW GABILLIAM IS REAL. But unlike that, this story is not. William has a daughter, but her name is not Kaedance, nor does she have AIDs (to my knowledge.) And she’s not Travis’ (she’s Gabes).

Two Weeks In HawaiiThis story is going to have a different feel from TWIH. It's probably going to be 'darker' in a sense, so if you're looking for fluff and cute, you may be searching for awhile.
Authors Comments : You don’t necessarily have to of read TWIH to understand this story, but it’s really helpful as the characters have already established friendships and relationships and what not. But the prologue(s) kind of touch on key points. I’ve been told it’s a good story though, if you feel you have time.
Prologue - part two
Gabe was slouched on the couch with his long legs partially spread and his laptop barely balancing on his thighs. He was absent mindedly chewing on his lower lip as he idly scrolled through whatever page he came across while the men in front of him practiced the few songs they’d developed in the last few months. It wasn’t really his type of music, too depressing and not nearly as danceable as he pretended, but Gabe went along for support for the man who’d shown him exactly that the last few years.
It wasn’t long after Pete and Patrick’s wedding that Gabe and Mikey broke up, remaining really close friends instead. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, either. They were just too different for anything real and meaningful to come of their relationship. Mikey still answered every phone call Gabe made when he needed help, be it because he was afraid of taking a drink or he simply didn’t have enough cab money, regardless of the hour of night or day.
In return, Gabe attended every practice and small show Mikey and the others, his brother and such, did upon realizing they’d make a pretty good band.
They were good; enough to already have labels after them. But they weren’t exactly something Gabe would have going in his CD player or iPod on a regular day.
When Gerard called a break to ‘rest his voice’, snatching Frank and disappearing from the small space, Gabe felt the couch bounce a bit as Mikey collapsed beside him. “So, we gotta talk,” Mikey said in the same monotone voice that Gabe had grown used to the last couple of years.
Gabe closed the laptop, lifting an eyebrow curiously. “Oh? Gonna break up with me again, Way?” he asked teasingly, putting a hand on his chest. “Break my ego again?”
Mikey playfully slapped Gabe’s hand, tiny smile disappearing as quickly as it came. “The guys have been talking lately. We’ve gotten a lot of offers from labels, and we want to make a CD. Like an actual store-sold, produced, recorded, professional album.”
“No shit,” Gabe grinned, “Awesome.”
“Yeah.” Mikey nodded. “Thing is, we’d have to promote the CD. We’ve been itching to play out of Jersey and New York for a while, and my grandparents offered us a van if we wanted to go on the road, so…”
“So you’ve decided to go. Tour.” Gabe finished when his ex trailed off. Again Mikey nodded. “Cool,” Gabe said with a brief nod of his own. “I know there’s plenty of kids that have heard rough stuff over the internet other kids recorded at shows that would love to see you guys play. You’ll probably sell out.”
“Gabe, you do know what this means, right?” Mikey asked.
“You’ll become wildly successful and forget us little people?”
Mikey rolled his eyes. “I can’t go to meetings with you. Or be there like I said I would. I’ll always take your call so long as I’m not playing, but-“
“It’s cool, Mikeyway,” Gabe cut him off, putting a hand up. “You got a life too.”
“But I’m your sponsor. I made a promise.” Mikey frowned.
Gabe threw an arm around Mikey’s shoulder and yanked him close. “Don’t sweat it, Mikes. I’m a big boy. I know how to say ‘no’. I’ll probably go bother Nalex more. See if they need any help at the restaurant.”
“You’re welcome to stay in the apartment,” Mikey said. “While I’m gone. Help yourself to whatever you want. My parent’s will cover the bills. They also said you could come here whenever.”
“I’ll probably crash at Suarez’s place. Better control and whatever. But thanks.” He let Mikey go, smiling. “Go be awesome, Mikeyway, and fuck the world with your talent.”
Mikey slapped Gabe again. “Pervert,” he commented as he stood.
“You love me, baby,” Gabe replied, kissing the air. He felt his chest tighten and stomach knot, but refused to let Mikey on. Mikey was so talented and happy in the band. They all were. Gabe couldn’t hold Mikey back or ruin the five men’s dreams by being selfish.
He’d been down that road once before and never wanted to go back.
Setting his laptop aside, Gabe lifted his hips to dig into his pocket to get his phone to call Alex and ask to move back into their guest bedroom for a few months. He was about to dial when his phone started vibrating and playing the Justin Timberlake song that was his ringtone, the word ‘unknown’ illuminating on the screen.
Gabe accepted the call anyway with a, “’lo?” into the receiver.
“Gabe?” came a voice from the other end, Gabe humming in reply. “It’s Ryan. Ryan Ross. I got your number from Alex, I hope you don’t mind. I didn’t have your new one.”
“Nah, it’s fine,” Gabe answered. He hadn’t heard from Ryan in years. From any of the people he once knew. “What’s up? Haven’t heard from you in a long time.”
“I know, and again I’m sorry,” Ryan sighed. “Things have been crazy lately. I’ve been meaning to call or write or something for a while, but time keeps getting away, huh?”
“Two years,” Gabe chuckled. “What sparked your memory to do so now?” he asked casually.
“It’s William,” Ryan replied and Gabe tensed. He hadn’t heard that name in a very long time. “It’s been bad lately. Well, for quite some time, I guess. Brendon and I have tried to help but we don’t know what to do to make him better. He hardly talks to us anymore, and he’s isolated himself from everyone and fuck, Gabe, you’re the last person I can think who can help him.” Ryan’s voice was stressed and tired.
Gabe could feel his heart pounding in his chest, managing a smile when Mikey gave him a cautious glance as the others poured back into the room to continue on. Mikey knew about William, and knew that Gabe couldn’t quite get past everything that happened, making the man a taboo subject.
“Please, Gabe, please come back to Hawaii. He needs you.”
“I-I don’t…”
“Gabe,” Ryan was essentially begging him now, “Please.” The urgency in his voice sent shivers all through Gabe’s body. “He almost killed himself this morning.”
Chapter One A/N -- bear with me. I do have school still, but I can't resist the urge to write. Also, I'm sorta failing school right now, therefore my studying and such has to come first. But I wanted to get something out to show I'm not dead. And with the Gabilliam picture Gabe shared with us, well.
