Previous Chapters Frank’s POV
Boy was I glad to have found Ryan and Brendon when I did. I knew it was stupid trying to go look for Gerard without them but I just needed to because god knows what mess he’s getting himself into right now with all these naked kids running around as they continue to be higher than kites. Don’t get me wrong, I’m starting to trust him more again but with this many naked girls around? I have to be careful and so does he, because I wouldn’t put it past him to really cheat on me again especially if he was drinking or on something. I didn’t want to think about this though.
Ryan was hurt and I could see the medium sized cut on his head, and I also knew about his headache. He complained about it a little though I knew it was worse than he was probably telling us. I think he just didn’t want us to worry too much about him, even though Brendon looked pretty freaked about Ryan’s injury. I wondered how he had gotten it though, but there were probably a million different ways one could injure themselves in this mess.
Just to make matters worse, the fire alarm rang, it’s shrill scream making me cringe. I felt really bad for Ryan now, considering all this noise would just escalate his headache and I didn’t want that to happen. Since we’ll probably be going to Gerard’s house to get away from this shit, I’ll probably just get him a few painkillers and let he and Brendon stay somewhere quiet because I just know Bob, Ray, and whoever else are going to be there too making more noise. They could probably stay in my room or maybe outside in the yard, even though it is cold. Everyone has jackets and stuff so it won’t be so bad. Maybe Gee will maybe even let them in that little room with the piano and fireplace, but I’m not making any promises.
On the note of Ray Toro, I called him just before I came across my two friends. He said he was on his way and I expected him to want to come and help considering Bob was here (and no I haven’t found him either) and also I was freaking out to some extent. My priorities right now though, were making sure Brendon and Ryan were safe and close by, and to find Gerard so he could get us all the fuck out of here as soon as possible.
“Gerard said he’s in English class!” I yelled over the alarm and Brendon nodded.
“That’s on the other side of the school!” he called back and I groaned. Ryan had covered his ears with his hands and his eyes were squeezed together as he winced in pain. Brendon gave him a sad look as he reopened his eyes but Ryan looked as if we wanted Brendon to just ignore the fact that he was suffering. If I knew Brendon though, he couldn’t ignore the fact that Ryan was in pain. “C’mon! I know where that is and we’ll try to get there!”
I followed them, staying close and making sure Ryan wasn’t dying. He held his head occasionally and I knew that headaches usually got way worse when an element of noise was present and just overall stress. We made it past the gym again where there didn’t seem to be a lot of people left except for probably a dozen kids passed out on the floor or slumped against the walls, probably coming down from their high. Parents and teachers looked like they fled the scene long ago when the madness just got started and we should have probably done the same.
“Just down this hall,” Brendon said and I nodded as he directed Ryan and me through the trashed building. “I don’t know what room Gerard’s in right now so we’ll probably just have to guess. Look’s like most people are gone anyways.” We scanned the rooms as some doors were open and some were still closed, but no sign of Gerard so far. I kept trying to look for his distinctive raven black hair but just nothing.
“Found him!” Ryan called from the very, very end of the hall, dragging Gerard out of them room. He looked immaculate and untouched by all the madness, probably because he was just hiding in that room the entire time. I was just hoping he didn’t get to see the flashing show like we did because if I know him, he’d be gawking. I didn’t want to think of it that way but I couldn’t help it. Gerard called himself a whore before and he’s cheated on me in the past, so what’s stopping him from doing it again? Honestly.
“Gerard!” I exclaimed happily as Brendon ran towards Ryan and I ran towards Gerard. “Where the fuck have you been? I’ve been going crazy looking for you and just for the record, you better not be a navigator, ever.” Truthfully, he wasn’t that bad at giving directions. Maybe I was just bad at following them or something.
“In that room. I kinda noticed what was going on and a bunch of kids when to go see what was going on but… I didn’t?” He made it seem like a question and I rolled my eyes. “What happened to Ryan? He doesn’t look so great…”
“He bumped and cut his head on a locker and we really need to get out of here. I’m kind of scared that it’s worse than just a headache and I don’t know how much longer Brendon can hold out without dying cause he’s so worried about Ry,” I explained. I knew Gerard didn’t care much for Brendon but when it was about Ryan, for some reason he actually would show some interest.
“You’re right, we better get back to my place. Where the hell have you been anyways?” I guess it was his turn to question me now and I understood that. With all the shit going around this school just about anything could have happened. “I’ve been fucking worried sick about you that it was your class or something that started this shit,” he said and I noticed he actually looked genuinely concerned about me. That was a step up.
“I was in the courtyard with Ryan and Brendon watching top of the line underage porn, then I got lost cause you suck at giving directions and now I’m here with you,” I smiled, saying it with extreme sarcasm. He hit me playfully, rolling his eyes. “What?” I asked.
He sighed like he was trying to ignore a thought that had just come to his mind. “Nothing. Now shall we?” I nodded happily because I wanted to go home and pulled on Brendon’s arm, accidentally interrupting a probably sweet moment with Ryan as we exited the room. “Fuck it’s a dump out here…” Gee commented and I nodded once more. “What the hell happened?”
“No idea,” I answered honestly as we walked briskly through the halls. “I do know it was something with that thing the juniors had going on cause it all started when people started running out from the gym naked,” I giggled and Gerard did a classic face palm. “Brendon started to take a bunch of pictures and Ryan got all mad… then we found Will and Gabe. After that was when I sent you a text and called Toro for backup.”
“HEY GUYS!” Gabe’s loud voice broke my train of though as he ran towards us with Will. “You think we can bail with you guys cause the cops just showed up and we’re sure as hell not safe at my house. Hell, I bet they’re already surveying the place to see if I’m there.” I was taken by surprise mostly because well, he kind of just showed up out of nowhere, and the fact that his hoodie was unzipped and he was shirtless, still.
Gerard raised an eyebrow skeptically and groaned. “Yeah fine. I doubt the cops would want to see me either and you’re right. No one is going to your house right now. Besides, did this have anything to do with drugs or alcohol…?”
“Probably,” he said and Gerard sighed. It kind of felt like Gabe wasn’t telling us the whole story but I guess this would have to do. Will’s hair was pretty messy and his clothes were still half on him and half not, and I’m assuming they were this way because whatever he and Gabe started earlier, had an ending they both enjoyed. On another note though, I couldn’t ignore the fact that my boyfriend had been involved with the police.
“You… and the cops Gerard?” I asked him in a harsh tone and he looked at me as if he was ashamed, which he should be. Once they’ve got your records they’ve got them forever and they’re sure as hell not going anywhere. I just didn’t want to be dating some ex-con or something, even if he was Gerard.
“I’ll tell you some other time… but we really have to fucking split.” I didn’t want to change the topic but I knew we had to go before things got any crazier, because I thought this was probably just the calm before the storm. Ryan and Brendon seemed to be fairing out fine, Ryan in Brendon’s arms as they waited for us to execute the next more in our plan. The fire alarm had stopped by now, but of course, the sirens of ambulances, fire trucks and police cars were becoming more and more evident, making me just a tad more nervous.
“My car’s in the lot, I think beside yours,” Gabe said. “I’ll take Will and I’ll try to find Pete and Patrick too. So Ryan and Bdon and Frank are gonna be with you right Geeway?” Wow, there were going to be a lot of people at Gerard’s house when all this was done. I hadn’t even seen Mikey, Ray, Bob or Alicia all day either and I assumed they would also be looking for refuge at Gee’s. Well, Mikey cause he lives there and Alicia would be with him… Bob because he practically lives there and Ray because where Bob is, you’ll find him too.
“Yeah sure,” Gerard said quickly as we went down the stairs back to the main floor. Everyone had basically followed and Gerard held my hand tightly, probably to make sure we didn’t lose each other cause that’s the last thing we needed right now. I kind of missed the feeling of him holding my hand too not to mention, even if he was being kind of an asshole right now. I think everyone is just really stressed out in general.
We came across some kids still on campus, naked of course, and I couldn’t help but gag. I looked back to Ryan and Brendon again who didn’t seem to really notice, but that’s when I turned to my own boyfriend and why wasn’t I surprised? He was fucking gawking at those girls and I guess I felt more sorry for them than I felt for Gerard. I kicked Gerard’s right leg rather harshly and scolded him. “Fucking hell Gerard keep it in your pants!”
“It is,” he replied like some kind of smart ass and I slapped him as his jaw hung open a tad bit. “Fuck. Stop with the violence Frankie! That hurt…” he whined to me. He really deserved it though because not only was he staring at some poor girl’s misfortune (meaning being naked in a hallway and probably had no idea what was going on) he was doing it in fucking front of me! There had to be some kind of law against that because I am his boyfriend and I just took him back form fucking cheating on me.
“You deserve it you pervert. I thought you were my boyfriend.” I shook my head in disgust. I really didn’t want to think of him that way.
“I am,” he confirmed it but I seriously wanted just to slap him again and again until he got it in his head that I could just leave him at any moment again. Sad part was I don’t think I had enough heart to do it. I couldn’t just not be with Gerard anymore. It was too hard.
“Stop staring at breasts or you can consider us over,” I warned. “For good.” I ripped my hand from his grip and fell back in the group to where Ryan and Brendon were, because they probably needed me more than Gerard did.

Gerard's POV
I followed Gabe's lead as he dragged a rather disheveled William from the school building, holding the glass door open for the three tagging along with me, trying not to let it shut on Brendon's face. Maybe there's a bit of a grudge but, can you blame me? He was making out with my boyfriend, right in front of me for that matter, so I'm entitled to not like him. That and he just plain gets on my nerves. "Are you guys coming to my house or am I dropping you off somewhere else?" I asked, facing the two not living with me while fishing my keys from my pocket.
"Uh, we figured, if you didn't-"
"Fine; let's get the fuck out of here." I found my keys and slipped the little silver ring around my finger, starting in a bit of a rushed pace towards the parking lot as cop cars began to fly into the circle. It's horrible trying to keep my eyes focused on the ground as topless girls ran all over the place like headless chickens because fuck you; I'm perverted and I know it. But I also know that I'm a hormonal teenage boy too so what do you really expect? What I also happened to know, very well, is that I didn't want to lose Frank again so I bit my lip and did my best to ignore them, just wanting to be in the comfort of my own home again.
I knew Mikey had made it out with Alicia, he text me a little while ago, and I have no idea where Bob is but he can easily take care of himself and I'm sure Ray is speeding here right as the four of us practically fled the scene of chaos. I occasionally glanced back to make sure everyone was still following as I headed to the car, not wanting Frank or Ryan to end up in the mess. Brendon, well, we won't go there. But everyone made it to the car and I quickly unlocked it, yanking open my door and falling into the seat as Frank got into the passenger's; Ryan and Brendon shuffling into the back. "You do realize we're far from done with this whole cop thing, right?" Frank asked while I crammed the key into the ignition and twisted it, instantly killing the radio since Ryan looked like he was suffering from a bad headache. He did have cut on his head, after all.
"Later, Frank," I said a little harshly as I yanked my seatbelt on and shoved the car into reverse, quickly backing up then twisting the wheel to straighten the vehicle to leave. "You guys have your seatbelts on?" I glanced back in the mirror, receiving slightly fearful nods, seeing Ryan laying his head on Brendon's shoulder as the younger held him close. "Don't do anything in my car." I warned them before putting my eyes back on the road, flashing lights consuming everything visible. "Alrighty; let's get the fuck out of here." I somewhat smiled, shifting back to drive and near flooring the gas pedal so the car jerked forward, frowning at the sudden motion as I headed for the main road, turning out of the parking lot to go home. The entire bus-drop off was filled with cops and a few ambulances; more coming.
"Gerard! This isn't a fucking chase scene! You can go speed limit!" Frank snapped at me, holding onto the handle of the door with a fearful look in his eyes. "Speeding will get you a fucking ticket, you know."
"Not if they can't catch me." I smiled, enjoying myself a bit because every cop at Jersey was no doubt back at the school so, why not race along the road? There's not anyone out really and I'm only going like twenty over the speed limit. I mean, what's the point of having a sports car if you don't push its limits every now and again? "Relax, Frankie."
"I will shred your fucking license myself if you don't slow the fuck down," he warned, smacking my arm yet again. I glanced into the rear view mirror again to see Ryan's face practically buried in Brendon's shoulder as the usually obnoxious boy looked ready to have a heart attack.
"I happen to be an excellent driver," I said, stepping on the brake suddenly and turning the wheel so the car spun, the tires screeching, stepping back on the gas as the car faced down a side road now. I'm pretty sure I heard some whimpering noises from the back which made me laugh to myself before Frank smacked me upside the head; hard. "You're not supposed to abuse someone while they're driving!" I pouted, actually keeping reasonably close to speed limit now before I actually did give someone a heart attack. "Then we'll like, go into a street lamp and blow up." Brendon's eyes widened a bit.
"Then obey the laws," he mumbled, relaxing some as I kept within legal range now. We were in a residential area now and the last thing I want to happen is for me to run over some kid or their puppy. That definitely wouldn't be good. I released the wheel with one hand once the car was stable on the road, reaching over and taking Frank's hand into mine, squeezing it lightly as a nonverbal apology. "Ryan's going to need pain medication when we get home," Frank said.
"What happened?" I asked, figuring now was as good as ever to find out why he had a cut on his head.
"He was assaulted by a locker," Brendon frowned and I tried not to laugh. It's really not funny, because he has a rather nasty looking injury, but it really kind of is. Then again, there had to be force behind whatever happened for him to get a cut like that.
"Who do you think did this?" Frank asked while I ran my thumb over his skin lightly.
"No idea but they're my new god," I said with a smile. "School will probably be closed for a good week while they clean the mess and figure out who did it."
"No!" Ryan practically squeaked from the back, shooting up to a sitting position and grabbing his head before looking at me through the mirror with near petrified eyes. "They can't close the school!"
"Relax, Ross," I laughed lightly and gazed back at him, stopped at a red light. "You know, most kids would be eager to have school off a few extra days. Sleeping in, staying up all night, drinking..." Frank gave me a stern look but I ignored it, focusing on the heavy misery in Ryan's expression. "I never knew you were one of those school-nerds."
"I like it," he mumbled, looking down at his lap.
"To each his own," I said, regretting having upset him because he's just one of those people who seriously looks like they need a good hug; an action Brendon had no trouble taking advantage of. The light turned green and I headed down a little more until I reached our road, turning onto it and smiling at the sight of my house; even if there were already two cars there. Alicia's and Gabe's; how he made it back before us when he left after me I have no clue but I probably don't want to know anyway.
"I hope Bob's ok..." Frank quietly said, removing his hand from mine while I pulled into the driveway and turned the car off, seatbelts clicking all around. "Ray said he was going to school and I haven't been able to get a hold of him since."
"Bob's a big boy and so is Ray," I assured him, pulling the key out. "Come on Ross; let's find you some little white pills." I pushed the door open and climbed out, everyone else exiting and shutting their doors while we all headed for the door. I could only imagine what was going on inside my house as mischievous giggling already reached my ears. It was easily recognizable to William. "Gonna make it?" I asked Ryan, pushing the door open for them and noticing how he leaned heavily on Brendon, holding his head.
"Yeah," he mumbled, pulling away from Brendon but letting the younger boy cling to his other arm just in case. "Just a headache..." I knew it was worse than that though. It was like hangover bad only without the hangover part. Well, without the alcohol at least.
"Frankie;" Frank was working on getting his shoes off inside the doorway, glancing out at me with a curious expression. "Why don't you take them to the sitting room where it'll be quieter." I suggested, Brendon helping Ryan up the couple of steps to the door, deathly afraid the boy would pass out any moment. Frank smiled and nodded, reaching out for Ryan to pull him inside and guide him to the back where the fireplace and piano were because god knows how many people were going to end up at my house by the end of the day and the last thing Ryan needs is more noise.
I followed them inside and pulled the door shut, stepping out of my shoes and chucking my keys at the little table beside the door so I wouldn't lose them, detouring to the living room. I immediately rolled my eyes as I stepped past the couch, wishing I had a spray bottle to keep Gabe and William under control. "If you break it you're getting me a new one," I said, Will lying on the coffee table and Gabe straddling him. It's a really sturdy piece of furniture, I've drunkenly danced on it before, but I wouldn't put it past those two to find a way to break it. "And keep your clothes on."
"That's like telling the sun not to be warm," Patrick said, sitting on one of the couches, actually letting Pete sit on top of him. He looked exhausted, I think everyone is really, his eyes just barely visible behind the mess of hair held over them like a curtain from today's hat.
"Can I play video games?" Pete asked me like a child, giving me a look of pure begging.
"Sure," I shrugged; anything to keep them as quiet as possible. "I have to figure out what's going on with the others. Help yourself to anything in the kitchen." Pete instantly bounced off Patrick and down to the XBOX to turn it on, Patrick nodding then shutting his eyes. "Keep your asses in the living room, clothed, and as quiet as you can be because Ryan's not feeling good." I pointed towards the still half-dressed frisky couple on top of the coffee table.
"I make no promises," Gabe said, tilting his head back to smile at me; his fingers playing with Will's pants. Again I rolled my eyes and turned around because it really was a futile effort to keep them under control. If Patrick or Pete got mad at them there would be scolding and as long as I don't have to see it I'm not going to worry about it. Right now my concern was with Ryan and then my little brother who I assume had retreated to the safety of his bedroom once Gabe and the others showed up. He's never really liked them.
I slid the wooden door aside and walked inside finding Ryan sprawled out on the chaise lounge and Frank working on pulling the curtains shut to darken the room while Brendon tried to contain his curiosity; eyes darting all around the room. I headed for the fireplace and grabbed the matches, lighting one and chucking it at the wood, setting the barrier up once a nice flame was going for warmth. "Want a pillow, Ryan?" I asked him because the design of the furniture he laid on was strange, his neck bending at what I assume is an uncomfortable position.
"S'ok," he said, both hands holding his head in agony.
"Frankie; pillow and blanket from the linen closet?" Frank nodded and disappeared from the room, the noise of crashing glass and more giggling slipping through the crack of the doorway. I sighed and ignored it, making sure the door to the pool and closet were shut before Mr. Curiosity ended up lost or into something he didn't belong in. Not that shutting a door will really stop him. At least I don't have fish. "How bad does it hurt?" I asked Ryan, trying to decide what I should give him.
"Lots," he replied quietly, Brendon chewing nervously on his lip. It was easy to see he cares a lot about Ryan but then again, he still made out with Frank and thus I somewhat enjoy his suffering. That doesn't mean I have to see Ryan suffer though.
"You might have a slight concussion," I said, Brendon's jaw dropping some with a mortified look. "Relax, Romeo; it's nothing that can't be handled. Just don't let him go to sleep or he might never wake up." Brendon looked ready to cry now and I bit back a smile, Ryan whining lightly. "I'll go get some medicine to help with the pain."
Frank returned with a few pillows and blankets, probably to accommodate Brendon as well, stopping when I grabbed hold of his shoulders and kissed him. "I'm gonna go see what I can find," I said, Frank smiling gratefully up back at me. These were his friends and of course he's going to worry about them; especially when one's rather hurt. "Make sure Brendon doesn't touch anything and that Ryan stays awake."
"Gabe and Will are destroying your living room, by the way," Frank said with a little laughter, adjusting the bedding in his arms. I shook my head and sighed, shutting the door once Frank was back inside and passing the living room to the bathroom to figure out what to for Ryan. Mikey should know; he's smart like that. He'll probably become some doctor or something just because. Smart people do that.
I knocked on Mikey's bedroom door then popped it open, having removed the lock a few years back when I was really mad at him, hoping that he had clothes on this time. "Mikey; I need your help," I half whined as I stepped inside, relieved to find him sitting on the floor with some books spread out in front of him, Alicia curled up asleep on his bed.
"That's nothing new," he said, flipping the page over of one of the books. "What this time?"
"Ryan got hurt in the school and I don't know what to give him because he might have a concussion and has this rather nasty cut on his head," I said, still whining some. Mikey chewed on his lip a little, tapping the end of his pencil against the book, that smart person look of thinking plastered on his face.
"First of all, make sure the cut isn't too deep or anything and that it's clean to keep it from getting infected." I nodded, the cut bad but not that bad. "Second, give him Advil and probably some ice for his head to numb it. Ice in a plastic bag wrapped in a paper towel and only a few minutes on his skin at a time." I smiled because it's nice having a smart brother when you're too lazy to look things up yourself. "Other than that, just make sure he takes it easy and probably lays down for a bit."
"Thank you Mikes." I turned to leave and do what he said.
"How long is everyone going to be here?" Mikey asked, stopping me before I got away.
"No idea," I said, turning back to him with one foot out the door and holding the handle to the door. "I'm trying to keep them quiet but we both know that's not really going to happen." He frowned but nodded, lowering his head back towards the books around him. "Any specific requests for dinner?"
"I'll take care of it for us," he answered, scribbling something down on the page. "Let me know how Ryan is later."
"Will do," I promised before shutting the door and going across the hall to the bathroom where the medication sat behind the glass mirror above the sink, pulling the reflective door open and grabbing the Advil. The pills bounced around in the bottle while I headed towards the kitchen for ice, my living room nice and trashed as I glanced inside on passing, Gabe and Will having moved on the reclining chair now. I think they would quite literally die if they attempted an hour without being all over each other.
I opened the freezer and grabbed an ice cube tray, twisting the plastic to loosen them all then yanking open a drawer to find plastic bags, dumping the ice inside. I wrapped it with a paper towel like Mikey instructed then headed for the room Ryan, Frank and Brendon were in, cringing as yet more things shattered in the living room.
It was going to be a very long night.
A/N-- And the end of the epic chapter (25.2) will be in Ray/Bob POV just so you know.
Also, Ray and I decided that once this story is done and we move onto it's sequel, we're going to do a side story of Gabe/Will and possibly Bob/Ray just so you all know what's going on with them since they won't be in the actual story too much.
We're also looking into doing more one-shots together because we work well.
HOT MESS was released today. Awesomesauce. Fueled By Ramen is doing this huge ass sale on their webstore so be sure to check that out.
LETS GET WASTED.
