been working on the scarf quite a bit tonight while watching/listening to Joseph Campbell and the Power of Myth. have a total of 36 row repeats now!
I had taken a detour in knitting projects today--I had an odd ball of cream-colored superwash yarn and dyed it using Kool-Aid. the other week I had tried dyeing cotton yarn before I had read that it wouldn't work. and sure enough, the color washed out. today I used some of the faded cotton yarn to knit a washcloth, which I really like, but the color continues to wash out. in contrast, the wool yarn absorbed the color and the water I squeezed out of it was clear. I want to buy more white/cream yarn and continue experimenting with Kool-Aid, but I'm not sure what I'm going to make with the yarn...
