well, I finished the first part of the new project: I finished knitting *both* gargantuan socks. now I just need to darn in a couple loose ends and felt the socks into slippers. I can't believe how fast they knitted up! (or perhaps how I just couldn't put the project down?) one whole skein was enough for one sock and another one up to the toe decreases. so now I have almost a whole other skein left...for some other project!

I think tomorrow morning (er, later today) I'm going to see about getting an in-dash cd thing for my car. so I'd better get some sleep now.
