Part 4
One year later
"Are we there yet?"
Jared turned to Jensen with an annoyed expression that made him smile. Jared arched an eyebrow and tousled his hair, making him chuckle.
"You did it on purpose, didn't you?"
"No." Jensen pulled back. "I'm serious. Are we almost at--where was it again, Edgware?" It felt like hours ago since they landed at Heathrow but it didn't seem as though they'd get to the place soon. The long journey and the bad traffic had worn him out fast and he tried to lighten the mood to forget his crankiness.
Jared laughed. "It's not even been an hour."
"Really?" He groaned, shifting sideways to lean on Jared. "I feel tired." He felt himself slipping away.
"You do look tired. Just go ahead, sleep. I'll wake you up when we get there." Jared snaked an arm around his shoulders and ran his fingers in his hair. Jensen felt like purring.
"I'm glad Trent's alive and much better now," he mumbled.
"I thought you wanted to sleep?"
"Yeah. It's just...I can't imagine if someone died because of me." He'd been so relieved last year, after what happened, when Jared told him that Trent had been admitted to a hospital.
"Did someone help him?" he'd asked at that time.
"Yeah, a couple found him lying on the ground at the clearing of the woods by the road."
His throat choked. He'd imagined the man, bloody and in pain, waiting for an uncertain help, perhaps thinking he'd die soon.
"I'm so sorry..." he whispered.
"Jensen--"
"Look," Jensen cut Jared short. "I know what I'm going to say and what you're going to say, but I can't help it, okay? I'll still feel guilty and nothing you say to me is going to help."
Jared grasped his hand. "Jensen, what's done is done. I just want you to know how relieved I am to have both of you and Trent here. Now let's concentrate on getting you healed, all right?"
Healed. How lovely it sounded. Jensen returned to the here and now, and he curled into Jared, wrapping his arm around Jared's flat abs. He didn't care they were at the back of a cab, or taxi, as people usually call them here, or if the driver glanced at the rearview mirror at them several times.
The saying went Count your blessings. Jensen thought he'd spend his days doing that alone and nothing else because he'd just had too much. Too many, with the first thing starting with the letter J. Jared. Jensen's life had changed since he'd known the man, and it reached its momentum several months ago on his birthday.
He finally became legal. Jared came to his room with the biggest chocolate cake he'd ever seen.
"For heaven's sake, you didn't need to do all this." But Jensen knew how wide his grin was. He clambered and sat up on his folded legs on the bed.
Jared's smile matched his. "I didn't need to but I wanted to." He put the cake carefully on the bed and leaned toward Jensen. "I'd like to kiss you. You have no idea how hard it was to wait until now. Even after you graduated and were no longer my student, I still refrained from doing this. Finally, it’s your first kiss since you became an adult."
"And my very first kiss with a man, too." Jensen felt sheepish.
"Really?" Jared beamed. His eyes sparkled. "Do you mind?"
Jared took his chin and his eyes fluttered close automatically. Jared's lips were firm and unyielding when they met his, but the man was gentle as he guided Jensen in his first kiss. He licked Jensen's lips, the sudden wetness making him gasp. Jensen thought Jared would enter him at once but he didn't. He waited and waited until Jensen's curiosity got the better of him and he mimicked Jared's gesture earlier. Jensen braved himself to venture with his tongue and he was met with Jared's. They tasted each other, and now Jensen understood what they meant by tongues dueling. Jensen turned breathless but he didn't want to stop. The sensation went straight to his cock, and was that his shameless moan vibrating out of his throat? So embarrassing. He sensed Jared's smile on his lips as pulled back a bit.
"How was it?" Jared asked.
Jensen panted softly and leaned forward to kiss Jared again, and again. He didn't want to stop if that was up to him. Finally he moved back, too, grinning broadly.
"Wow." He sighed, slumping against the headboard.
"You like?"
"Like? That was the most amazing thing that ever happened to me."
"I assure you, you'll get a lot more of that."
"Promise?"
Jared cupped his face and gave a soft peck on his lips. "Promise." He crawled back.
"Where are you going?"
"I have a present for you, Jensen?"
"Another present?" Jensen couldn't keep excitement from his voice.
"This is a birthday cake, not a present."
"Okay." Jensen grinned.
When Jared was back, he had a big box wrapped in colorful paper and adorned with a pretty bow on top. Jensen gasped.
"Wow. I didn't know you're so romantic."
A blush spread on Jared's sculpted face, making Jensen stunned.
"I don't really know you yet though we will remedy it soon. I hope you like it."
Jensen hated to have to undo the lovely bow. He loved it. But he was also curious what Jared had inside the box.
Jensen frowned when he opened it. He stared at the thing, looked up at Jared, and switched his gaze back down.
"What do you think?" Jared smiled at him.
"I-I don't know what it is." He simply stared, didn't even dare lift it out of the box. What he saw seemed sparkly, and expensive.
"Take it out," Jared told him. "Come on. It's okay."
Jensen dug into the box and carefully grasped the thing by its base. He hummed in awe as he lifted it. It was a glass in the shape of a triangular prism.
"This-this is beautiful."
Jared chuckled. "It's a prism and it's made of crystal."
"Really? Wow." Jensen was right when he thought it looked expensive. Crystal was rather expensive. It was just that he still didn't know what the thing was for.
Jared seemed to notice his confusion for he smiled next and ruffled his hair.
"You don't know how it works? Sometimes I wonder how you graduated high school."
"Hey." Jensen waved Jared's hand off his head. "And I know what a prism does, thank you very much."
"Then explain to me."
"It's, uh, it...spreads, I mean--"
Jared laughed aloud. He took the prism from Jensen's hand and pointed at one side. "If you pass a white light through the prism, it is separated into its component colors--red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet, the rainbow colors.”
"That's awesome," Jensen said. "Can we try it out later?"
"Of course."
"Cool." Jensen smirked. Jared gazed at him suspiciously.
"What's with the smirk?"
"Nah. I just found out that my math teacher of a boyfriend is a geek."
Jared arched his brow. "Ah, so I'm your boyfriend now?"
Jensen felt his face burn. "Sorry. I just thought..."
"Hey." Jared stroked his cheek and Jensen couldn't help but lean into his hand. "I'd be so happy to be your boyfriend. You're such an amazing man." Jared leaned over and kissed Jensen on the lips.
Jensen lingered and moaned before he moved back, smiling. "I'm a man. So good to hear that."
"Of course you are."
"And I'm yours."
"You are mine."
Jensen's breath hitched when Jared framed his face with both of his hands, his eyes piercing into his. "Jared..."
"Jensen, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"Do you know what you are?"
"Huh?"
"I mean, you are a bear, but are you a beta or an omega? You're not an alpha--that much I know."
"How?" Jensen didn't mean to get offended or anything, but Jared asked a question yet made a claim at the same time.
"How do I know you're not an alpha?"
Jensen nodded. "And why don’t you know if I'm a beta or an omega," he added.
Jared shifted and took Jensen's hand. "Well, of course you know I'm a wolf shifter."
"Uh-huh."
"We're not the same, but different species can tell if someone is an alpha, no matter what it is. Our sense of smell is just not sharp enough to recognize the betas and omegas.”
Jensen narrowed his eyes. “Is that why I immediately… ah, of course. Trent was your alpha. So what are you?”
“I’m just a beta.” Jared hung his head and Jensen felt guilt swarm down his spine. Jared had done a lot for him. How could he treat the man as though he was nothing? It wasn’t as if Jensen held a higher rank. He’d never known what he was. Neither his own father nor Ted told him. He could be an omega for all he knew.
Jensen clasped his other hand over Jared’s hands and slowly pulled them to him. Jensen kissed the hands gently and breathed in the man’s scent, getting to know him all over again. Jared held his breath as Jensen went to sniff his body. Jensen set the cake and the gift aside and knelt down to lean closer to Jared. He closed his eyes as he nuzzled into Jared’s throat and the side of his neck. Underneath his aftershave, Jared smelled like a young forest with its newly-planted trees and fledgling leaves on their twigs, smelling like citrus and some spices. It was tangy, daring and teasing, with a shot of sweetness and tenderness.
Jensen found he was intrigued by the smell. It wasn’t too bold and dominating like his stepdad, but still made Jensen weak in the knees. He held tight onto Jared and shuddered when Jared took a lungful of his aroma.
“You smell sweet like strawberries,” Jared said.
“Do you like it?” Jensen whispered as he almost couldn’t trust himself to speak.
“I think it’s my favorite now.” Jared smiled from ear to ear.
“Take me. Claim me. Make me yours.” Jensen surprised himself with his words, but right now that was all he wanted. He didn’t want to be with anyone else or become someone else’s possession even if it was an alpha.
Jared’s eyes darkened, his pupils widening. Jensen knew desire when he saw it. But something else flashed in those eyes, something Jensen wasn’t sure he’d like.
“What is it?”
“Aren’t you supposed to wait for your alpha, your mate? One thing for sure, I’m not your mate. I can’t just claim you no matter how much I want to right now.”
“Then make me your mate.” Jensen tightened his hold and buried his face in Jared’s neck. “When I’m yours, no one will dare lay their hands on me again. They’ll smell you on me and leave us be.”
“That easy?”
“That easy.” Jensen nodded.
“You’re such a bossy omega.”
“Hey, I might turn out to be a beta.”
“Even worse.”
Before Jensen could reply to that, suddenly Jared ducked and bit his neck. Hard. Jensen let out a choked cry. The strength Jared infused into his bite went straight to Jensen’s cock. Jensen moaned and sighed deeply, feeling his skin break. He shuddered. He'd sport the mother of all hickeys later but he didn't mind at all. Jensen tilted his head up, opening himself more for Jared.
"Jared." He breathed out loud. "It feels so good." And hot. Literally. Suddenly his worn t-shirt and sweats felt too much for him. Jensen scrambled to take off the t-shirt, reluctantly pulling away from Jared's touch for a brief second.
"Touch me," he whispered as his own hands began to roam Jared's body, slipping under the man's shirt, taking in every inch of his skin. It felt warm and soft but with hard muscles underneath.
Jared shivered. His breath went heavy. He apparently needed a while before finally laying hands on Jensen. Jensen giggled at the fact that Jared needed some time but soon he was shut up when Jared's fingers connected with his skin. It was as if hundreds of volts of electric currents ran through his body. Jensen flailed and he gripped at Jared's chest. His breath caught the same time as Jared.
“Oh God.” Jensen threw his head back. Jared felt to him like he was mapping every inch of his skin with the tips of his fingers, almost like memorizing it. Jensen panted, his breath deepening, as Jared caressed his torso and down to his stomach. He bit his lips, feeling shy all of a sudden realizing how soft his body was, not firm or tight like Jared.
“What’s wrong?” Jared must have been able to read his mind.
“No-nothing.”
“Come on, Jensen. You can tell me anything.”
“I know. It’s nothing. It’s just…”
“What?”
“I wish I were as hot as you.”
Jared gaped. “What are you talking about? You’re very beautiful, Jensen, and you have the most gorgeous body I’ve ever seen.”
Jensen snorted. “How many have you seen?”
Jared jumped and tackled Jensen down, making him yelp. Jensen landed on his back with Jared looming above him, pressing his wrists up on both sides of his head. Jared’s eyes pierced into his and Jensen couldn’t look away.
The man’s voice was hoarse when he spoke. “I’ve seen several. But believe me, they’re nothing compared to you. I’m not only talking about your body. You are lovely from inside and out. You have to remember that, Jensen.”
His ordeal flashed before his eyes and froze him for a second. “I will,” Jensen murmured.
Jared released Jensen’s wrists and lowered his body. He kissed Jensen’s lips gently. “Are you okay?”
“I am,” Jensen said weakly, and repeated it, stronger this time. “I am.”
“You are beautiful.”
“I am beautiful.”
Jared nodded, smiling. “You’re as hot as me.”
“I’m hotter than you.”
“That’s not what I said.” Jensen squeaked when Jared’s fingers attacked his ribs. “Oh, ticklish, are we?”
Jensen laughed so hard tears ran down his face. “Stop it, Jared. Please. Please, stop.”
Jared complied after some time. Jensen wheezed and panted, still laughing, when Jared kissed him again. He kissed back, making small smooching sounds along with tiny pecks he gave Jared. Jensen wrapped his arms around Jared gladly when the man lay next to him and pressed himself along Jensen’s body, never ceasing kissing him.
****
The taxi slowed down and pulled over in front of a house in an area called Edgware. It was in northern London; that was why it was a bit of a distance from Heathrow. Jared looked around. The houses on both sides of the street were not big but not too small, either. They were decent, neat, and modern-looking, clean with white coat of paint. Jared almost couldn't imagine Trent residing in one of these. The house just didn't scream his pride and arrogance. But a memory of the man from last year made Jared hesitate. Perhaps Trent had really changed.
"6 Edgwarebury Lane, we're here, sir," the driver said, looking back over his shoulder.
"Sure." Jared glanced at the weight on his shoulder. Jensen had fallen asleep after some time. Jared shook him a little.
"Jensen? Hey, Jensen, we've arrived."
Jensen stretched and mumbled something, rubbing his eyes. He looked so adorable. Jared felt like squeezing and kissing him senseless. Too bad they were in a public transport. He just chuckled and grabbed his hand.
"Wha--"
"It's Trent's house over there."
Jensen was suddenly wide awake. A sign of--panic?--flashed in his eyes. Jared tightened his hold on Jensen's hand. They needed to get out of the car first and address whatever it was in Jensen's head later.
"Here." Jared handed out thirty pounds to the elderly driver. "Keep the change."
"Thank you. Please make sure you've got all your belongings with you."
Jared gathered the two pieces of luggage, his and Jensen's, from the trunk and stood them on the driveway. Jensen looked on as the taxi drove away. He wouldn't gaze at the house.
"All right. What's going on?" asked Jared. Ringing the doorbell could wait until they talked.
"What are you talking about?"
"Come on, Jensen. I know when something is wrong."
Jensen folded his arms in front of his chest.
"Nothing is wrong, but can't we just stay in a hotel?"
It wasn't that Jared didn't have money to pay for a hotel room but they were here in England because of Trent's invitation. Jared thought it would be impolite to say no to Trent's offer to stay at his place during their visit here. Trent had been generous to pay half of their flight fare. Jensen knew about this.
"But we talked about this already." Jared thought Jensen had no problem with it.
"Yeah. I just wasn't thinking."
"What's the problem?"
Jensen looked reluctant to talk about it but Jared wanted everything to be good among all of them.
"I hope it's not about the ex-thing again," Jared said. "Because that's exactly who Trent is. An ex. Nothing more, nothing less."
Jensen still looked doubtful. Jared grasped his arms and leaned forward to press their foreheads together.
"You're mine, remember? I claimed you. I'm bound to you as much as you to me. Nothing and no one will come between us."
"Promise?" Jensen had untangled his arms and now he gripped tightly at Jared's shirt.
"I promise and I swear to you."
Slowly Jensen lifted the corners of his lips. "Okay," he said softly. Jared couldn't help himself as he watched those pink bow lips. He licked them. His heart beat faster when Jensen let out that tempting sighing noise, and Jared finished his job, clasping their lips together. He raked his fingers through Jensen's hair and held his head close, stopping any attempt the kid might try to back away, though he was pretty sure Jensen didn't even think about it from the way his arms were wrapped around his waist right now. They might have stayed like that longer if not for the sound of the door opening and someone clearing his throat.
"Didn't realize how hot you two look. It's like watching a live porn show."
Jared and Jensen sprung apart at once. Jared wiped his lips and turned to Trent shyly.
"Trent. Sorry. We got carried away."
Trent just laughed, waving his hand in dismissal. Jared was glad seeing him. He looked happy, carefree, and still hot as fuck. But Jared had someone as hot and definitely prettier with him right now. And while it might be true he was Trent's in the past, the connection had broken almost two years ago. Now he had Jensen and he hoped Trent had met someone new.
"Jared, I'm so happy to see you." Trent hugged him close but he didn't linger. He immediately went to Jensen and hugged him, too.
Jared saw how Jensen tensed a little before he relaxed and gave Trent a warm squeeze. Trent pulled back but still held Jensen's upper arms.
"You look great. Jared treats you well, I guess?"
Jensen's face reddened. "He does," he murmured. "He's awesome."
"I know that."
"Trent," Jensen started. "Thank you for everything you did for me. I was so relieved you were safe and alive."
"Oh, just say no more. I did that for Jared. I'll do anything to make him happy."
Jared frowned at that. He should've known Trent would always love him. Jared imagined they'd still be together if Trent hadn't had to go to London and made that fatal mistake. But then he wouldn't be with Jensen and he just couldn't picture that. Jared reached out to take Jensen's hand. Jensen's eyes met his.
"Thank you, Trent. I'm pretty happy right now." He never kept his gaze off of Jensen.
Trent chuckled and let Jensen go. "Don't worry. I actually want to introduce you to someone. You guys too tired for a dinner tonight?"
Jared glanced at Jensen. He was okay himself but Jensen looked pretty jet-lagged. "Uh, I don't know. Jensen?"
"I do need to lie down for a while, but a couple of hours rest will do me good. What time are we going out?"
"About seven. You still have quite a long time."
"Deal." Jensen grinned at Jared, and he squeezed the kid's hand. Jensen was adorable. Jared loved him.
"That's awesome," Trent said. "Come on in now. Let's get you settled so you can have your beauty nap, Jensen."
Jared barked a laugh as Jensen's cheeks turned pink.
"The flight was really quite long," he said, sounding somewhat defensive.
"Hey, I'm just kidding." Trent squashed him in a half hug while Jared took the handles of the two bags. "You need help there, Jared?"
"Nah. I'm good." He felt relieved to see Trent and Jensen click immediately though they barely met each other last year. He hoped things would be just fine during their vacation here in England.
Trent's house didn't seem very big from the outside but inside it looked vast with minimalistic furniture and high ceilings. The house was beautiful. It was obvious that Trent was quite well off here. Jared was happy for him He didn't regret the decision he'd made, though, and he wouldn't think of any what-ifs. He'd been meant to stay. Jensen had needed him then and Jared didn't want to imagine how things would've gone had Jared not been there for him.
"All right. The guestroom is upstairs. I guess you only need one room?" Trent's eyes sparkled in mischief.
Jared laughed. "That will be fine with us."
"Great. This way."
Jensen took his luggage from Jared's hand. Trent glanced backward.
"Are you sure you don't need help?"
"Yes."
Jared and Jensen said it at the same time, and Trent shook his head.
"You sure you're not some kind of weird, twisted twins?"
Jensen smiled weakly and Jared half hugged him.
****
“You can say that again.” Jared winked at him. Then he and Jensen followed Trent climbing the stairs and into the bedroom. Just like the other parts of the house, the room was equally beautiful and neat. A king-sized bed with a broken-white-colored duvet stood against the wall on the left side of the room and a floor-to-ceiling window stretched from side to side across the room, looking out to a sight of a lovely green backyard. Jared whistled softly.
“Do other rooms have this scenery, too?” he asked.
“Yeah. All rooms are facing back so they all get this sight. I guess the person who designed this house planned it that way.”
Jared turned to Trent. “Thank you so much for inviting us to stay.”
“Hey, don’t worry about it. I thought it’d be much better than having you stay at a hotel. Hotels are the same everywhere.”
“This is definitely better than a hotel. Thank you so much, Trent,” Jensen added.
“Sure, man.” Trent dipped his hands into the back pocket if his jeans. Jared could see how uneasy Jensen had made Trent feel. A flushing Trent was such a sight to see.
“You also took a leave from the office for us. You shouldn’t have done, Trent.”
“I didn’t. I mean, I will work a half a day. That’s nothing. So, I think I’d better leave you now. Jensen seems like he’s going to fall asleep on his feet.”
“I’m fine.” Jensen blushed.
“I’ll see you both tonight, okay?” Trent leaned forward and hugged Jared.
Jared hugged him back but he didn’t linger.
Then Trent turned to Jensen and did the same. When he left, closing the door behind him, Jared let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding.
“We’re alone. Finally.”
Jensen grinned but exhaustion was still clear in his eyes. “Okay, I guess I’d better change.” He huffed heavily as he lifted his luggage on to the bed.
“Yeah. And refresh a bit. The door there goes to the bathroom, I guess.”
“Uh-huh.”
Jared frowned. Jensen clearly wasn’t listening to him. He was busy unpacking and arranging his clothes into the drawer. Jared shrugged. He’d better get busy, too.
So he got to his own bag, taking things out and piling them into a drawer on his side of his bed. When he turned around, he stopped in his tracks.
Jensen had been undressing himself. The boy was standing there across the bed shirtless and now he was unbuckling his belt. Jared swallowed. He’d seen Jensen naked before, but every time it always got him weak in the knees.
“Jensen…”
“Yes?” Jensen looked up. His jeans were half way down and the bulge in his briefs left nothing to the imagination.
“Uh, nothing. I just…can I use the bathroom first?”
“Sure.”
Jared scurried into the bathroom. This was embarrassing. He wanted to touch Jensen so much and do things he loved doing to him, but Jensen was tired and sleepy. Jared should let him rest. He could always take care of himself. But with his boyfriend on the other side of the door, it would be beyond weird. In the end he just relieved himself, brushed his teeth, and joined Jensen back in the room.
…and Jared was left stunned for the second time. Jensen was fast asleep, curled under the cover with his face to Jared. He looked so peaceful. His face slacked and relaxed, and his parted lips made him look like a baby. My baby, Jared thought, as warmth seeped into his heart. He circled the bed to climb up behind Jensen and slipped under the cover. He draped an arm over Jensen’s waist, caressing his bare skin, and nuzzled into the back of Jensen’s neck. Jensen muttered softly as he pushed back. Their bodies fit like well-matched pieces of a puzzle.
“Sleep on,” Jared murmured, kissed Jensen’s neck, and followed his bread crumb trails to dreamland.
****
They looked like an odd couple. A young bear and a mature wolf. Jensen was glad they met no one when they strolled along the winding path of the woods, or they'd have to split for a while so they wouldn't reveal their identity. Jensen loved spending time with Jared. He'd roll over on the ground, teasing Jared who'd usually look so serious and tell Jensen to rise and continue walking. He wasn't too young for a bear, actually, but being with Jared always tickled his playful side. It was totally the opposite from being with Ted.
The thought about Ted clouded his mind, and usually Jared could tell. He'd nudge at Jensen's side, plead him wordlessly with those wolf brown eyes, and Jensen would yield. He'd smile and soon he'd hop around Jared again.
Jensen treasured their time alone in the woods. On the first nights after he returned from the hospital, Jensen couldn't sleep without nightmares marring it. He'd cry though he barely realized it, not until he felt Jared lying next to him and rubbing his back up and down, comforting him. He'd calm down and try to close his eyes again, until Ted would come again from the shadow and Jensen would scream, and scream.
He knew it frustrated him as much as it did Jared. So one night Jared took his hand and led him to the back, and startled Jensen out of his wits when he began to unbutton Jensen's shirt.
"What are you doing?" Jensen grasped his hands and held them in place.
"I just want you to take you out."
"Naked?"
"In our other forms."
Jensen frowned before realization, and fear, punched him hard in the chest.
"No." That night he ran away as a bear, and look what had come to pass.
"Jensen, it's okay. You're going to be okay. I'll be with you."
Jared didn't push that he should face his fear. His demon. Jensen wavered.
"I'm not..."
"I know you're scared, but hey. You have this badass wolf of a teacher. Who'd dare do anything bad to you?"
Jensen couldn't help but chuckle. He loosened his clutch on Jared's hands and brought them back to his shirt.
"If you promise to always be by my side."
"You know I will, Jensen."
"All right."
From that night on, they went out to the forest for a couple of hours every evening. Just strolled along, played a bit, and sat in silence side by side when they got to the top of a cliff. When they returned home, Jensen would be too tired to do anything else after he shifted back to his human form. He’d feel Jared's arms snaked around him from behind but he was too out of it to say anything.
****
Heavy, comfortable warmth pressed against his back. Jensen smiled. So, Jared had decided to follow suit and have a nap, too. Jensen turned around to face his boyfriend. Jared was still asleep. Jensen slowly ran his hand over Jared's longish hair, smoothing back some strands that had fallen over his temple. Jensen loved looking at long-haired men and to have Jared as his mate was like a dream come true.
"See something you like?"
Jared's mumble didn't come as a surprise as he'd seen Jared's eyes moved beneath his eyelids when they were about to open.
"Your hair," said Jensen. "And your nose, your lips, strong jaw."
Jared smiled.
"And your dimples," added Jensen at once.
"My dimples, huh." Jared propped up on one elbow. "Was that the first thing you liked about me?"
Jensen ducked, feeling sheepish, but his mind went to his first day at school. "I don't know," he said honestly. "I think I thought you were hot but I really hated you, too."
"What?" Jared ruffled Jensen's hair, and Jensen chuckled as he tried to avoid Jared's hand. Jared pulled back, perching his head on his hand. "You feeling better?"
"Yeah. I was only sleepy and tired."
"Can we tell Trent that we're getting ready now?"
"Sure." Jensen yawned and stretched. "The bed feels so comfy, though. I wish I could just stay in."
"Hey, we're not flying this far only to stay in bed."
"Though you'd like that too, huh?" Jensen waggled his brow.
"You're naughty." Jared grabbed him by his waist and pulled him on top of the man.
Jensen huffed as he landed there. He planted his hands on both sides of Jared's head, staring close at his eyes. Neither of them said anything and their breathing fell in the same rhythm.
"What? Anything you want to say or do, Mr. Wolfe?"
"Everything. I want to do everything to you." Jared's voice sounded like a sandpaper.
"Then do it."
"You sure?"
"Yeah. Trent can wait. He thought I was very tired, right?"
"You really are a naughty boy. You need to be punished."
"Really?" Jensen was breathless. Jared's eyes ran over his bare chest, and Jensen suddenly felt lightheaded. Jared himself had a battered t-shirt and sweats on, and Jensen wanted to rip them off of his boyfriend’s body. "You can punish me, with one condition."
A small smile curled the corners of Jared's lips but his darkening eyes made Jensen's stomach flip.
"You're so bossy, kid."
"Don't call me kid." Jensen paused, eyed Jared's lips, and had a taste of them. Once, and he lifted his head. Then he grinned, ready for the next attack. He'd wanted to kiss Jared since he woke up. Jared's mussed state looked so cute Jensen wanted to cuddle him all night long.
"Wait, wait." Jared grasped under his armpits and gently pushed him up. "You haven't told me your condition. Surely it's not that you get to keep kissing me, right?"
"Huh?" Jensen gaped, losing Jared's lips all of a sudden, before his synapses connected and he remembered again. "Right." He almost giggled. Almost. "No. It's not the kissing. It's this and this." Jensen tugged at Jared t-shirt and sweatpants. "Take them off."
"All right, all right." Jared scrambled, reaching for the hem of his shirt but he could hardly move. He smirked at Jensen. "Jensen, if you keep straddling me like this, I'll never be able to strip and fuck you afterward."
Jensen felt blood rush to his face and he crawled to sit next to Jared. "You're going to fuck me?" His voice turned to a whisper without him meaning to. His heart suddenly beat faster and he let out a shudder. "Oh God."
"Unless it's still too fast," Jared added quickly. His face blanched. "We don't have to if you don't want it."
"Oh, no way. I'm okay and who doesn't want to do it while we're out of the country. Hmm, doesn't it sound sexy?"
"Sexy is if we're doing it in the middle of a pasture in some English countryside, perhaps, and not just in a bedroom of a house just like in our own back home."
Jensen hit Jared's arm playfully. "Don't be a wet blanket. And stop stalling. You should get naked. Now."
Jared laughed out loud. "Sure, sure. And you." His eyes flicked down to Jensen's crotch. "What's that little piece of cloth doing there?"
Jensen looked down and grinned, blushing. He wriggled out of his briefs and pulled them off his legs. Then he tossed them away just like that. He had no idea where they landed. Jared choked out a chuckle.
"You should find them later, or do you want Trent to do that for you?"
"Maybe." Jensen winked at him. Now Jared was the one who blushed. "You look so cute when you blush."
"Shut up." He was done undressing and now he sat on his heels in bed and Jensen could only do so much to not drool. The muscles on Jared's chest rippled and his taut belly led to the thickest, most beautiful cock Jensen had ever seen. Jensen heard a pitiful whimper and just a second later he realized he'd made it.
"I know." Jared's voice filtered through Jensen's mind.
"Huh?" He looked up and met Jared's eyes.
"I know I'm beautiful."
The moment of adoration passed and Jensen giggled. "You're so full of yourself."
"'Cause you're beautiful, too," said Jared hoarsely, making Jensen freeze and his breath turn heavy. "Look at you. You have no idea how much I want to taste that skin, lick that length of yours, and treat that little slit on the head with short thrusts."
Jensen moaned and crawled on all fours toward Jared. Jared cupped his face and gently pressed their lips together. Jensen parted his mouth, welcoming Jared's seeking, probing tongue.
"Go lie down."
Jensen felt the murmur rather than heard it. He scrambled backward and stretched on his back, slightly feeling like a sacrifice. But Jared was naked, too, and he was gentle and he loved him. There was nothing Jensen needed to worry about.
Jared did things he said to Jensen earlier. The man traced his skin starting from Jensen's nipples. Jensen gasped and bucked, and fisted the bed sheet as he spread his legs wider without realizing it. He sucked in his breath, tightening his stomach. Jared's hands felt so good. Jensen thought he was in heaven. The noises he made sounded like sin in his ears and he knew he should be embarrassed by them, only he wasn't. Jensen let out a strangled sound when Jared finally took his shaft. It got hard at once and was leaking pre-cum already.
"Jensen, you feel so good." Jared sighed as he kneaded Jensen's length slowly and rubbed the pearly liquid from the head with his thumb. Jensen bit back a moan, grabbed anything he could grab, and turned his head back and forth as Jared prepped him. Beads of sweat broke through his pores.
"Jared..."
"Tell me what you want. Do you want to come?"
His mind was clouded by the heightened pleasure built up in his groin. He knew, though, that was not what he wanted.
"I, uh."
"Yeah?" Jared kept up his stroking.
"I want to come--" He bit his lip. This was torture. "With you inside me."
"I want to fuck you."
"You said that." They both laughed but Jensen's voice was strained, and soon his laughter was replaced with a moan lamenting the loss as Jared's finger left his channel and his hand abandoned his cock. Jensen looked down and watched as Jared slipped his own cock into a condom and applied a palm full of lube over it. The man shivered and threw his head back, groaning as he stroked himself.
"A-are you ready?" His voice choked. Jensen himself only nodded, not trusting his own voice to form any words.
He tensed with anticipation as Jared shifted closer between his legs and finally, finally nudged into him, and Jensen gasped. Jared had prepped him with his fingers but he was much bigger, longer, thicker. Jensen held his breath, and suddenly Jared stopped moving.
"Does it hurt?"
Jensen breathed through his nose and closed his eyes. It didn't really hurt. It just felt so full down there. He shook his head slowly, eyes still tightly shut.
"N-no." He adjusted himself, spreading his legs wider. The discomfort slowly faded, turned into numbness, and as Jared pushed further, Jensen concentrated on the turning of the sensation into pleasure.
Then he didn't have to work anymore. Jared's long girth went further and it massaged Jensen's sensitive bundle of nerves as it slid inside. Jensen jerked and moaned loudly. His head was thrown back.
"Oh God, Jensen." Jared panted as he went all the way to the hilt, pulled back, and thrust in one smooth motion into Jensen. "You're so hot. So gorgeous. Look at you."
Jensen was lost in Jared's words, in the incredible pleasure his boyfriend created. He had no other way to express it than through the moans and mewling noises coming from his throat. Jensen didn't dare touch himself for he would be sure to come right away if he did. But when Jared said, "I'm going to touch you now." who was he to deny it?
Jensen bucked when Jared's hand closed in on him, and his hips fell into small jolts followed by short, halting uh, uh, uh as Jared jerked him off. Coupled with the stimulation in his ass, Jensen squirmed. It was too much. He couldn't hold it much longer.
"Jar-Jared," he stuttered.
"Come, Jensen. Come for me."
Jared's silky voice sent shivers down to his spine, and with that he couldn't hold back anymore. Jared's strokes went more earnest, and Jensen shuddered as he came, spurting white strips of come into Jared's hand and on his own stomach. Jared kept stroking him while still thrusting in and out of him, until suddenly Jared's face contorted. He made a strangled noise in his throat and came. Jensen moaned and Jared's shudder made him shiver, and they were both gasping, their eyes locked into each other's. Jensen's cock twitched at Jared's soft, loving gaze, and he sighed deeply when the man withdrew out of him gently.
"Come here," Jensen murmured, feeling totally sated and relaxed as well as having no more energy to do anything else. Instead of complying, Jared scrambled up.
"I have to go get you cleaned."
"Noo." Jensen flailed, feeling lost already. Jared chuckled.
"I'm not going far. You'll thank me later when you're clean and not sticky."
Jensen knew he was right. It wasn't as if he never jerked off and left it dried on his stomach. It was itchy and scratchy, so disgusting.
Jared tossed the wet cloth after he wiped Jensen and himself, and lay down next to Jensen.
"I wish we had time to just lie here," he said.
Jensen hummed and buried his face into Jared's chest. He felt warm and his musky scent was intoxicating. Jared tightened his arm around him.
"You think so too, right?"
Jensen mumbled into Jared's skin as Jared raked his fingers through his hair. Jensen was drifting off already when he vaguely caught Jared's words saying they had half an hour or so.

Trent's boyfriend, Nicholas, was slightly older than Jared and Trent, and Jared suspected Nicholas knew he and Trent had a history. Nicholas watched his words and he kept saying how Trent had expected Jared and Jensen to visit him in England. Jared wondered if the man knew the extent of Trent's faulty treatment of him at the time.
Jared inhaled and he gasped sharply as he got that smell. He stared at Nicholas. The man was an alpha, just as Trent was.
Jared ducked his head. He wasn't here to judge. Both he and Jensen were betas. If Trent liked being with an alpha, who was Jared to deny him that? Jared just didn't want Trent to get hurt. They broke up but Trent had more than paid for what he'd done. Right now Jared just wanted Trent to be happy, like him and Jensen.
As if being reminded of his boyfriend's presence, Jared slung his arm around Jensen's shoulder and pressed him close. He saw Nicholas' eyes soften as he grasped Trent's hand. Yup. Jared nodded mentally. They were both happy with the men they loved.
"So, what do you guys think of Middle Eastern food?"
Jared and Jensen looked at each other and smiled.
"I don't think we've tried it before."
"It's great to try something new," Jensen said.
"I'm sure you'll like it, Jensen, Jared." Nicholas beamed.
"I loved it when I first had it," Trent said. "Though it's somewhat an acquired taste because of the spiciness. But I'm sure you're going to like it."
"We'll love it, right, Jared?" Jensen turned to him, his head tilted a bit.
"Totally." He smiled at him. Jared didn't understand. Jensen acted as if he wanted to soften the blow of meeting an ex with his new boyfriend for Jared. Jensen was protecting him. Jared's heart melted. The kid didn't have to do that. Jared was the older one here. He was supposed to do the protecting. Jared grasped Jensen's shoulder, wordlessly telling him that Jared knew what he was doing.

They rode in Nicholas' Audi with him driving, expertly navigating his car despite the heavy traffic that night. Trent sat next to Nicholas while Jared and Jensen took the back seat. Nicholas was a good tour guide. He cheerfully explained the places they passed by. Jared found he was charmed by Nicholas' British accent.
"We're not going too far. The restaurant's still in Edgware. We'll visit other places tomorrow."
Jensen squeezed Jared's thigh and Jared smiled at him. Jared knew what he meant. They appreciated Nicholas' hospitality but they were here on vacation and they preferred more privacy.
"That's very generous of you but we really don't want to trouble you," said Jared.
Nicholas broke into laughter. Trent snickered.
"I get you, man. Of course you prefer to be alone, right, Jensen?"
Jensen simply grinned but Jared could trace his rosy cheeks.
When Nicholas pulled over in a parking space, Jared looked over Trent's shoulder. They'd stopped in front of a large restaurant with large glass panels and green low rooftops in the corner of the street. The name of the restaurant, Zaitun, was written above the entrance with gold paint in Arabic characters and Latin letters beneath it.
"Zaitun. So exotic." Jensen’s whisper sounded dreamy.
Apparently the people on the front seat heard him. "Zaitun means olive in our language. I agree with you. It's pretty exotic," Trent said.
They all got out of the car and at the entrance, a man with a headdress welcomed them.
"Good evening, sirs. A table for four?"
Nicholas spoke for the four of them. Jared barely paid attention to them. He'd been entranced by the interior of the restaurant since he first stepped past the threshold.
It was breathtaking. Golden-painted reliefs on the upper-side walls around the vast room breathed out luxury to the restaurant. Gold also rimmed the white table cloths and on the rows of tables there were tall empty glass for mineral water with white soft caps, a Z embroidered on it with golden threads. Several waitresses dressed in long silky gowns and bright headdresses waited on the patrons at some tables. A tap on Jared's shoulder. Nicholas smiled at him.
"Shall we?"
They went to a table on the far left. Nicholas sat next to Trent while Jensen took a place beside Jared, in front of Trent. Jared didn't know what they were talking about, but Jensen seemed to be deep in discussion with Trent. Jared opened the menu before him as a gorgeous waitress with black hair under her headdress greeted them.
"You gentlemen ready to order?"
"I have no clue what is in here," said Jared, hopeless.
The waitress turned to him. "Are you American?"
"Yes."
"Me, too." Jensen was all wide-eyed toward the waitress and for a second Jared felt a stab in his heart before he drew a deep breath, calming himself. Jensen was with him. Jared just had to have trust in him.
Jared re-focused himself on the talk happening around him. The three other men listened attentively to the waitress explaining what specialties they had in Zaitun.
“They all sound yummy.” Jensen’s sparkly eyes were now fixed to him. “I want to try them all, Jared.”
Jared couldn’t help himself. Jensen looked so adorable he simply leaned on and kissed him. Jensen’s eyes widened. He gasped. The last second before Jared closed his eyes, he saw Jensen’s flutter close, too. When they pulled apart, Jensen’s lips were puffy and damp with his saliva, Trent and Nicholas stared at them with broad grins across their faces, and the waitress looked as if she’d melted into a puddle of goo. Jared ducked as he wiped his lips with the back of his hand.
“Guess everyone’s ready to order now.” He smiled sheepishly at no one in particular, unable to look at Jensen, who palmed Jared’s face all of a sudden, forcing Jared to face him again.
“Hey,” Jensen said. “I love what you did. Do that again.”
“Uh…”
“No. Come on.”
This time Jensen was the one who shifted closer. He gave Jared a hesitant peck on his lips, looked up at his eyes, and kissed him again, lingering longer than several seconds. Everyone pretended not to stare this time, busy giving and taking orders. Jared chuckled and ruffled Jensen’s hair.
“Okay. It’s our turn, I guess. What do you want?” Jared examined the menu, ninety percent of what was written completely foreign to him.
Unlike him, Jensen sounded fluent when he talked to the waitress. “I’d like zereshk polow, some falafel here, and baklava as the dessert.”
“What are you talking about?” Jared hissed.
Jensen let out a dramatic sigh as he turned to Jared and explained.
"Well, zereshk polow is a kind of rice cooked..."
Jared’s lips tingled to form a smile. Jensen's words billowed up to the air like smoke, fading away and nowhere within reach of Jared's ears, let alone his brain. He was barely aware of people surrounding them. Jared swiped his thumb over Jensen's lower lip, and Jensen blinked.
"Jared, what the hell?" he hissed.
"What? You prefer to be kissed instead?"
Jensen groaned. "Why are you the one being childish?"
Jared whispered, too. "I just can't forget what we did this afternoon. Don't tell me you're not thinking of a repeat performance."
"I'm not." Jensen turned to Trent and Nicholas. "Excuse us. I think my boyfriend got drunk without even a drop of alcohol." He stood up and dragged Jared with him. "Excuse us," he said again.
"Where are we going?"
Jensen hushed him and winked. Jared's heart leaped and beat a mile a minute. He trailed after his boyfriend.
"Jared?" Trent looked positively confused.
"I’m sorry, gentlemen." It was him this time. "Please don't wait on our account."
He knew they were guests there but they were also having some time off from their everyday routines. Jared thought they deserved to be excused.
